New Direction Baptist Church The purpose of our page is to lift up the name of Jesus, so others may believe and receive him.

Our Mission:
As a body of baptized believers in Christ, we will compassionately and spiritually seek to make disciples, as we take up our across and follow Jesus. As a church, we will share the love of Christ with all, regardless of race, creed, color, or ethnicity. Rejoicing, forgiving, and remembering one another in our prayers. As members of the household of God, we will encourage and build each other up, as we represent God's Kingdom on the earth, by the power of Holy Spirit.

Today we celebrate freedom, honor history, and recognize the strength, resilience, and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day freedom was announced to enslaved people in Texas, marking an important milestone in the journey toward equality and justice.

As we celebrate, may we reflect on the past, appreciate the progress made, and continue working toward a future filled with unity, opportunity, and respect for all.
