Mark Evans is the founder and Senior Pastor of The Church at Rock Creek. Understanding that many people don't go to church because it is boring and irrelevant, Mark began Rock Creek in 1995. Believing that people really do matter to God, Rock Creek has grown from 25 people to over 4,500 attending the weekend services. Rock Creek was featured in

Church Growth magazine’s list of “The 100 Fastest Growing Churches in America." In April 2006, Rock Creek moved onto a new 40-acre ministry campus featuring a 2,500 seat worship facility, with plans to expand their ministry by adding a home for abused and neglected children, a residential ministry for troubled teenagers, and a shelter for homeless families. Rock Creek is a place where people from all walks of life fit in and find opportunities to grow. The church's primary purpose is people... to meet the needs of people and to show them how to establish and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

📅 SEPTEMBER 30. Save the date. ManChurch is back, and this time we’re talking about something every guy needs, whether he admits it or not: a good friend.

Jason Curry will sit down with longtime pastor and author Hal Kitchings for a real conversation about friendship, showing up for each other, and why we were never meant to do life alone.

The Church at Rock Creek + Mission Partners in Peru | Your Mission Matters & Zona Zegura

In 2019, the Life & Work program started with 12 students. This year, 40 entered. That's 208 young people since the beginning, and 100% of these students have been offered quality employment. About 70% are working right now in three- to five-star hotels.

Life & Work is a six-month program at the mission center that provides high-level training for older teenagers and young adults in the tourism and hospitality industry. Most of these students come from rural, impoverished communities, broken homes, and hard situations with little opportunity ahead of them. Through Life & Work, they learn a valuable skill, and more importantly, they hear the Gospel and receive strong Bible teaching. This program has been recognized and awarded by the local government for its ability to help 100% of the participating young people overcome poverty.

On September 7, this year's class of 33 graduates, including four single mothers. Many of them will move on to Next Steps, a program in the city of Cusco that Rock Creek fully funds. At Next Steps, students move into a home where they can get on their feet as they begin their careers. A family lives there with them, teaching life skills like meal planning, budgeting, and time management alongside continued Bible teaching.

All of this feeds the final piece of the work in Peru: a network of house churches meeting in homes and communities across the country. Students from the mission center attend these house churches, and some help lead them. The goal is simple: advance the Gospel and make disciples who multiply and start new house churches.
