Pentecost is proof that God never intended for believers to survive on information alone. He gave us His Spirit so we could live with power, boldness, discernment, and authority. Pentecost is what happens when heaven moves from being around you… to living in you.

Pentecost is the day the Holy Spirit was poured out on the believers after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. It takes place in Acts 2, fifty days after Passover and after Jesus told the disciples to wait for power from heaven.

Before Pentecost, the disciples had instruction,but no boldness. They had proximity to Jesus, but not yet the power to carry the assignment fully. Then suddenly, the Holy Spirit came like a rushing wind, tongues of fire rested on them, and they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
