Pastors, can I encourage you today?

Prayer still works.

I know ministry gets heavy.

Some days you are pouring into everybody else while running on empty yourself.
Carrying the weight of people’s pain.
Leading while tired.
Preaching while pressured.
Smiling publicly while struggling privately.

But hear me:
Do not let the pressure of ministry silence your prayer life.

Before you respond, pray.
Before you quit, pray.
Before discouragement settles into your spirit, pray.

Because the same God who called you is still sustaining you.

And maybe the greatest testimony is this:
After everything ministry has thrown at you, you are still standing.

Not because you are so strong…
but because prayer has been carrying you.

Prayer still works in ministry.
Prayer still works in leadership.
Prayer still works in exhausting seasons.

So take a deep breath today, Pastor.
God still hears you.
God still sees you.
And God is still working.

One of the hardest things about being a pastor is knowing that everybody is watching.

People watch how you preach.
How you lead.
How you respond under pressure.
How you handle criticism.
How you carry pain.
How you love people when your own heart is tired.

And the truth is, sometimes that weight can feel heavy.

But here is a Word for you!

“Represent Him Well.”

That thought was both comforting and convicting.

Comforting because what a privilege it is to carry the name of Jesus.

Convicting because as pastors, we quickly realize that people do not just listen to our sermons.
They watch our lives.

In The Epistle to the Colossians 3:17, Paul says:
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus…”

Some days that assignment is difficult.

But the good news is this:
God never asked us to be perfect.
He asked us to remain surrendered.

And day by day, He continues shaping us, refining us, and making us more like Christ.

So to every pastor carrying the weight of leadership:
Keep representing Him well.
Even in the pressure.
Even in the exhaustion.
Even in the struggle.

Grace is still working on all of us.

Dear Pastors,

Let me speak plainly to those of you laboring in parish ministry, faithfully preaching, praying, and shepherding, yet quietly wrestling with the feeling that you are not enough for the assignment in front of you.

There are moments you stand to minister and a voice whispers, “You don’t belong here. You’re not as prepared as they think. You’re not as gifted as others.” But hear me that voice is a liar.

If God called you, you belong. If God placed you there, you are not out of position. You are right where His providence has assigned you to be.

Scripture is clear 2 Corinthians 3:5 reminds us that we are not sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. That settles it. Your adequacy is not rooted in your ability, but in God’s provision.

You were never meant to carry the weight of ministry in your own strength. The call of God comes with the supply of God. And where He sends you, He sustains you.

Do not measure your ministry against someone else’s highlight reel. God has not called you to be them. He has called you to be faithful where you are, with what He has given you.

Preach the Word. Love the people. Trust the Lord.

And when those feelings of inadequacy rise up, preach the gospel to yourself. Remind your own soul that the same God who called you is the God who keeps you.

Brothers and sisters, you are not imposters. You are servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Stand in your place. Open your mouth. Do your work.

And trust God to do what only He can do.

Good morning, pastors,

As you lead, serve, and pour into others, I want to remind you of a truth that sustains us in every season of ministry.

Not every assignment comes with clarity. There will be moments when the weight is heavy, the path is unclear, and the outcomes are uncertain. There will be seasons where you are preaching faith while personally navigating questions.

That is why the Word declares, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6

Ministry can tempt us to rely on our experience, our training, and our instincts. But even as leaders, we are still called to trust beyond what we understand.

God never asked us to figure everything out. He calls us to trust Him fully.

What looks like delay in your ministry may be divine development. What feels like resistance may be God refining your assignment. What seems uncertain to you is already settled in heaven.

So today, don’t lean on what you think you know. Acknowledge Him in every decision, every burden, every responsibility, and every unseen struggle.

He has promised to direct your path.

That means He is already ahead of you, making ways, opening doors, and aligning what you cannot yet see.

And as you continue to lead others, remember this for yourself

Whatever you do, don’t lose faith in God.

He is faithful to you, just as He is faithful through you.

Congratulations!
