Our trials and sufferings can either make us bitter or better.

James reminds us to “consider it an opportunity for great joy” when facing trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces perseverance. (James 1:2-3 NLT)

In recovery, this means recognizing that challenges are opportunities to grow stronger in faith and maintain sobriety.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see my struggles as avenues for growth and perseverance. Guide me to persevere in my faith and become better not bitter, knowing that your grace is sufficient for all my needs.
