📖 Acts 2:1-41
The disciples gathered on Pentecost. They heard a mighty rushing wind from heaven. Tongues of fire appeared above their heads, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gave them the ability to speak in foreign languages. People from various nations were amazed. Peter explained that this fulfilled Joel’s prophecy and preached about Jesus’ death and resurrection. 3,000 believed and were baptized, marking the birth of the church.
