Do you have money, or does money have you?
In Part 4 of our Guardrails series, Money Matters, Pastor Tom tackled one of the easiest areas of life to drift into the danger zone: our finances.
We often think financial health is just about staying out of debt, sticking to a budget, or having a healthy savings account. But Jesus made it clear that money isn't just a math problem—it’s a mastery problem. As Pastor Tom shared from Matthew 6:24 and 1 Timothy 6, you cannot serve both God and money; wealth is the chief competitor for the human heart. Greed isn't defined by how much you have; it’s the quiet assumption that everything you receive is solely for your own consumption.
The ultimate guardrail against greed? Intentional generosity—choosing to put God first and shifting our mindset from "owners" to "stewards."
