Love is not always easy.

In fact, some of Jesus' hardest words are found in this week's passage:

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

It's easy to love those who love us.

It's much harder to extend grace to those who have hurt us.

Yet this is exactly where Jesus invites us to grow.

Radical love does not mean pretending we were never hurt.

It does not mean ignoring injustice or accepting harmful behavior.

It means refusing to let hatred, bitterness, or revenge have the final word.

When we choose forgiveness, mercy, and prayer, we begin to reflect the very heart of God.

This Sunday, we will continue our journey through the Sermon on the Mount as we discover what it means to live with Radical Love.

Whether you have been worshipping with us for years or you are simply looking for hope, there is a place for you.

Sometimes the greatest battles are not the ones everyone can see.We work hard to say the right things, do the right things, and look like everything is okay on the outside.

But Jesus reminds us that God does not just look at our actions He looks at our hearts.

This Sunday, we will continue our journey through the Sermon on the Mount as we explore what Jesus means by "A Deeper Righteousness."

Together we will discover that faith is more than following rules. It is allowing God to transform us from the inside out.

Whether you have been worshipping with us every week, it's been a while since you have been in church, or you will simply pause to read these words today, I pray you will remember this:

God is far more interested in changing your heart than polishing your image.

You are warmly invited to worship with us this Sunday.

๐Ÿ”๏ธ NEW SERIES BEGINS THIS SUNDAY

As one season comes to an end and another begins, what if we allowed Jesus to shape the way we live?

Beginning this Sunday, we will journey through the Sermon on the Mount the greatest sermon ever preached.

Together we will discover what it means to be blessed, to be salt and light, to trust instead of worry, to love deeply, and to build our lives on the solid foundation of Christ.

As United Methodists, we will also learn from the insights of John Wesley, who believed these chapters reveal the very heart of Christian discipleship.

God has a beautiful way of reminding us of the same truth through different moments, different people, and different Scriptures.

This week, I was reminded once again that God is calling us to trust Him to place our hope in Him, to wait on Him, and to walk by faith even when we cannot see the whole road ahead.

As we prepare to conclude our Faithful Foundations series this Sunday, I invite you to read Joshua 1:1โ€“9 and reflect on God's promise:

"Be strong and courageous...for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

Whether you will be worshipping with us in person or from home, know that you are a valued part of our church family, and we continue to hold one another in prayer.

May God continue to strengthen your faith and remind you that He walks with you every step of the way.

โค๏ธ What a wonderful evening!

Last night reminded us that community is built one conversation, one meal, and one act of kindness at a time.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for America's Potluck! It was a joy to see neighbors, friends, and families gathered around one shared table, enjoying great food, laughter, and meaningful conversation.

Thank you to everyone who brought a side dish, helped prepare and serve the meal, volunteered behind the scenes, and simply showed up to be part of our community. You made the evening truly special.

We are grateful to call Little River home, and we thank God for the gift of this wonderful community. We look forward to many more opportunities to gather, serve, and grow together.

Thank you, Little River! โค๏ธ

What was your favorite part of the evening? We would love to hear in the comments!

Sometimes we think that if we are living out God's purpose, life should always feel joyful and uncomplicated.

But what if purpose is not about avoiding sorrow?

What if it's about discovering that Christ is present with us in every season even the hardest ones?

This week's reflection comes from John 11, where we meet a Savior who does not stand far off from our pain, but steps into it with compassion.

Whether you are able to join us in worship this Sunday or you are simply watching from wherever you are, I pray this reflection encourages you.

Jesus is present.
Jesus still cares.
Jesus still walks with us.
