❗Attention Northern New Jersey Parishes❗️In addition to our Annual Parish Picnic, which will take place in September, our parish will have the joy of hosting the first annual Northern New Jersey Inter-Parish Association (IPA) Summer Picnic on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

While many may first think of a popular beverage when they hear the term “IPA,”🍺 in this case it stands for the Inter-Parish Association, a fellowship that brings together Orthodox Christians from across Northern New Jersey for prayer, friendship, and fellowship. The IPA seeks to strengthen the bonds between our local parishes and provide opportunities for clergy and faithful to come together beyond the regular life of their individual communities.

All clergy and faithful of the canonical Orthodox Church are warmly invited, regardless of jurisdiction. Although each parish has its own busy schedule of services and events, this gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to come together as one Orthodox family, renew old friendships, make new ones, and enjoy the blessings of the summer season in a spirit of Christian love and fellowship.

We look forward to welcoming our brothers and sisters from throughout Northern New Jersey and hope that many from our parish family will join us for this joyful occasion!☦️

It is important to take care of our health.

As believers, we should care not only for our spiritual life through prayer and participation in the Holy Mysteries, but also for our bodies, which are a gift from God.

The Orthodox tradition calls us to sobriety, self-discipline, and a responsible attitude toward our health. By giving up harmful habits, we show care not only for ourselves but also for those around us.

It is also important to be a good example for our children. They learn not only from what we say, but from how we live.

Spiritual and physical health should go hand in hand.

While we are used to seeing our beloved clergy faithfully serving the Church, we can sometimes forget that they are people too. Let us take a moment to thank them and express our appreciation for their dedication and service.
A simple word of appreciation can bring joy, encouragement, and support to someone's day. 🙏

“What god is as great as our God? You are the God who alone works wonders.” Once again, the Great Prokeimenon in the 7th tone adorns our liturgical worship, inviting us to reflect on the immense gifts that God bestows upon His children.

This past weekend, we celebrated the great feast of Pentecost—the Birthday of the Church. On the service on Saturday evening and the SundayDivine Liturgy was especially beautiful, as the church was adorned with floral decorations, echoing the first appearance of the Holy Trinity to Abraham. Later, during the Kneeling Vespers, as the deacon and choir proclaimed the Great Prokeimenon, rose petals were cast from the choir loft and joyfully distributed by the children, commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.

We warmly congratulate all our brothers and sisters on this great feast and extend our gratitude to everyone who helped decorate and make the services so meaningful.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the parish young adult group hosted and organized coffee hour for the parish. At the conclusion of the day, the Sunday School presented their end-of-the-year film—a recorded ballet inspired by the events of Pentecost. The children were then given gifts to mark the close of the Sunday School academic year. We especially thank the teachers, parents, and volunteers for their dedication and hard work in fostering a loving and joyful environment where our children can grow in faith.

Happy Pentecost!
