Save the Date!

Rally Sunday - September 20 @ 10:30, following worship.

The Ed Committee is planning crafts, snacks, games and more to kick off of a great year of growing in God, growing together, and growing our faith.

This date will be for Sunday School, 3-year enfoldment, and when this year’s confirmands will meet for planning.

Letters with more details, calendars, etc will be mailed by early next week. Please be watching for more information!

Not as may pictures today - but that doesn’t mean we didn’t learn and play on our last day of VBS! Today we learned that Jesus’ power helps us be good friends, and that in Him we have the greatest role model of how to love.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in this week - anyone who donated supplies and snacks, our fabulous kitchen crew, our amazing crew leaders, the incredible station leaders, our talented musicians and large group leaders, and everyone that worked behind the scenes on decor, planning and prepping, media, etc.

Thank you to the parents who shared their kids with us this week to learn about Jesus. And thank you to the kids who came every morning with smiles, energy, and hearts for God.

Rocky Railway ‘26 - that’s a wrap!

Rocky Railway - Day 4

Wow. What a day.

We learned that Jesus’ power lets us live forever, studied the verse Romans 8:11 - “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”, and talked about how Jesus died for our sins, allowing us to live forever in Him!

At Bible Adventures our station leaders led students through putting their name on a heart, then taking the heart off due to sin. Students were then reminded that the price of our sins is already paid for, and each student put their name on the cross. What an amazing truth to share!

At Imagination Station students made butterflies to represent the transformation that we go through with the Spirit of God within us.

We ended the day with the reminder being shared one more time, and sang the song Sanctuary, among others. A fabulous day!

So glad we have one more day together!

In addition to singing Pharaoh, Pharaoh (scroll for the video!), Day 3 of Rocky Railway had us learning how Jesus’ power helps us be bold! We did that by learning about momentum in Imagination Station, and modeling momentum by watching beads fall out of a cup and building catapults! At Bible Adventures, we learned how Paul and John made a lame man walk, and encouraged each other to be bold and make super hero poses! Outside, kids had to be bold with carrying cups of water and take the risk of getting wet! Kidvid Cinema introduced us to Lauren, who made a difference in her community by volunteering at the local food shelf.

We hope students will go home and be bold! See you tomorrow for Day 4!

Every day we get to pull one favorite song from the bucket … today, Sara and Camilla surprised us with one of everyone’s favorites! If you could’ve heard the excitement at that announcement!

Day 2 of Rocky Railway taught us that Jesus’ power gives us hope. In opening, crews found ways they were all alike and met Ava; the red-tailed hawk. Bible Adventures introduced us to the story from Acts 27, where we learned how Paul had hope even though he was a prisoner in a ship, through a windy, wavy storm. Kids got to write their own God Sightings after watching the story of Analiz, who made music to bring hope to her grandmother at KidVid Cinema. Finally, at Imagination Station, we saw how air can move a hovercraft and a hidden magnet moves a paperclip; while the air and power of the magnet are invisible, they still work - just like hope!

The day wrapped up at Rocky Wrap-Up, where we panned for gold, sang and danced, and end d the morning with smiles on our faces.

That’s a wrap on Day 1 of Rocky Railway, where we learned Jesus’ power helps us do hard things! Students sang and danced at Sing & Play Express and Rocky Wrap-Up, read about Ananias doing the hard thing God asked him to do and learned to trust by doing trust falls, and played a game that required both speed and precision! At KidVid Cinema, students studied Philippians 4:13 and watched a video about Dominic, who had to work hard to pass a karate test, while in Imagination Station built bridges and learned about big horn sheep.

Whew! What a fun and exciting morning. We can’t wait to see what’s in store tomorrow. Couldn’t make it today? No worries! Come tomorrow anyway; our crews will welcome you!

Our Soul Squad youth met this morning to put the final touches on decorations. Our adult leaders were there, too.

The countdown is on! VBS officially starts in less than one week. Final preparations are being made and we can’t wait to welcome you bright and early next Monday! Advanced registration is preferred, but we will accept walk-ins all week, too.

Come learn how Jesus’ power pulls us through! Students will sing and dance, apply the Word to real life, create and build, and read a new Bible story each day.
