We are in Luke chapter 12 tomorrow. Hope you had a blessed week!

Some things to PRAY about tonight:
PRAY for Pastor Chris and Pastor Corey.
PRAY for our Deacons.
PRAY for our Trustees.
PRAY for our Sunday school teachers.
PRAY for our Junior Church teachers.
PRAY for yourself that you will be listening to the Holy Spirit.
PRAY for our tech team as they get the live stream ready and coordinate the sound.
PRAY for the live stream and radio broadcast.
PRAY for the hearts of those at the church, watching online, or listening to last week's broadcast on the radio that they might respond to the Gospel.
PRAY that we might be salt and light of Jesus Christ in Little Falls and the Mohawk Valley.

Also PREPARE for tomorrow by:
PREPARE by looking at the bulletin insert emailed in the weekly email and reviewing the outline for Pastor Chris' sermon, "Luke’s Prescription for the Long Term." This is for chapter 12 of the Gospel of Luke.
PREPARE by continuing to look over the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles (both written by Luke). While the sermon series is on pause this week it is good to continue to read these books in the New Testament.

Today, Pastor Chris concluded looking at Luke chapter 11 with the "Woes" to the scribes and Pharisees. We should be people of integrity. Doing what is right in public AND private. Be the same person in both places. We can learn from the Scribes and Pharisees' bad example.

Yes, the world seems hopeless. Sin might seem to be increasing and darkness spreading. You just have to look on TV or your phone to see the widespread abundance in our world. Yet, as Paul wrote in Romans 5:20 "where sin abounded, grace abounded much more." We as believers in Jesus Christ have been called to be salt and LIGHT in this world. Brother Andrew, who during the Cold War would smuggle Bibles across the Iron Curtain, let his little light shine in the dark world. Let us let the light of Jesus Christ shine in the midst of this dark world.

After looking at prayer at the beginning of Luke 11, Pastor Chris looks at verses 14-36 of this chapter. Jesus is dealing with absolutes! In a world where there are no absolutes, Jesus says He is the absolute! The religious leaders thought Jesus was casting out demons by Satan, but Jesus is greater than Satan! He came to transform!

Are you a disciple maker? If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, are you actively sharing the need for Jesus in word and action? Today, Pastor Chris looked at Luke 10 where 70 were sent to proclaim the Kingdom of God, but also the reality of judgment. There is a payment for sin and it is eternal separation. There is good news, but there is also bad news. Let us not just go through the motions, but actively live out our faith.
