And in just a few months we will celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the founding of St. John's!

On this day in 1851, Bishop Joseph Cretin ordained Jean Fayolle deacon in LeHavre, France. In just a few months, they would be in Minnesota and create St. John's Parish in Little Canada.

While not as grand as the St. John's church of today, the brick church (built with bricks made entirely in Little Canada) was still a beautiful church! The brick church lasted until 1955 when it was torn down to make way for the current building.
