The Senior Shepherds met on Thursday night and worked on sanding crosses. After rough sanding, we dipped each cross in water (like a baptism) and continued sanding with a fine grade sandpaper. It was a relaxing night and wonderful to be out of the house and chatting with friends.

The Senior Shepherds are having a fundraiser to purchase supplies (sandpaper, paint, brushes, etc.) for our fall projects. We are selling caps for $20 each, which feature our Lutheran symbol on the front and "St Paul Lutheran" on the back. They are great for wearing at outdoor church services or on walks through your neighborhood. If you are interested contact Joe D.

The Senior Shepherds were busy painting tonight, while wearing their masks and social distancing in St. Paul's Pavilion. The weather was just perfect! They painted some puzzles which were shaped like summer fruits and vegetables. Yummy!! These toys are going to "Caitlin's Smiles" and "Peter's Porch".

Good News fellow Shepherds : We are now part of a Thrivent Action Team for our Christmas toy project. That means we received a donation from Thrivent Financial to help pay for our supplies to make our toys. Joe has been busy picking out new paint so we can finish up our toys. Our next meeting will be next Thursday, November 14 at 6:30pm. We will be giving out these gray "Live Generously" t-shirts that Thrivent donated (while supplies last). Plan to wear your t-shirt when you get it, so we can take a group photo to submit to Thrivent. If you want to get your t-shirt before next Thursday, just contact Joe.

The Senior Shepherds were working hard last night - painting, sanding, and cutting out wooden toys. Their current project is making toys to add to the drawstring backpacks our congregation is filling for refugee families for Christmas. We're working in partnership with Church World Service in Lancaster.
