Today the Knights were thrilled to help host the St. James Lititz annual parish picnic! Full of food, fun, and fellowship, it was a great time for all who attended. We also especially enjoyed the addition of the mini golf this year! Thank you to all the Knights who helped support the event, and all of the St. James parishioners who came out and enjoyed with us!

Earlier this year, our Council attended the 128th State Convention in Pittsburgh. While there, our Delegates were informed that our Council won not just one, but two special awards! We received the Public Relations award, recognizing our efforts to share the work of our Council through outreach like our page, website, and even publication in a local newspaper. We also received the Council Activities award, which recognizes exceptional activities of a Council outside of the standard programming.

Congratulations to all of our members who helped us achieve these awards for the 25-26 fraternal year!

Today we celebrate all of the men in our Council and our Parish who embrace their roles as fathers, grandfathers, and father figures. Happy Father’s Day to all fathers out there! Let us continue to look to St. Joseph as an example for all men of faith.

Earlier this year, the Holy See announced that Venerable Fulton Sheen will be beatified in September. In his recent column for Columbia, Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly reflects on Archbishop Sheen’s particular apostolate to the laity, whom he called upon in a special way to share the Gospel through lives of Christian witness. “Archbishop Sheen spent his entire life bringing people to Christ,” writes the supreme knight. “He put enormous talents at the service of God — and he urged all of us, no matter our talents, to do the same.”
