Pray for Democratic Republic of Congo!
Our brothers and sisters are close to fighting there.

There is intense fighting between the rebel movement M23 (mainly composed of the Banyamulenge tribal group backed by the president and military of Rwanda) and the DRC armed forces support by African Union peace keeping troops. Recently, the city of Goma was taken over by the rebel group and hundreds of people have been killed. The rebels are also known to engage in sexual violence.

Fighting is now about 30 miles from Bukavu, where our main DOVE church is located. The declared goal of M23 is to take over Bukavu. Because of fighting, airports and government offices are closed.

PLEASE PRAY WITH US:

- for the fighting to stop and peace to be restored

- that our apostolic leader, Gabriel, can return home to Bukavu. He is stranded in Kinshasa where he was getting registration documents for DOVE DRC.

- for safety for members of the 18 DOVE churches, particularly in Bukavu where there is a direct military threat.

This is exactly what - I think Bethany shared?
The seed from Eve to Mary. Powerful

This is a drawing by Sister Grace Re*****on from the Sisters of the Mississippi Abbey. It’s of Eve and Mary, and is rich with meaning. Look at the snake wrapped around Eve whose head is being crushed under Mary’s foot. Think on Mary comforting Eve as the promise of redemption is being formed in Mary’s womb. 🤯

Take a few deep moments this season to think on the deep and beautiful implications of the revelation and incarnation of Jesus.

Every year I’m blown away by the reality of redemptions plan and Loves’ unstoppable force for good in our world.

Against all odds - Jesus arrives. Cynicism is undone. Faith arises. The Light of the world appears. A way is made. Darkness trembles. Angels rejoice. People seek and find. Salvation is here. God is with us.
This changes everything.
For everyone.
Everywhere.

Come Lord Jesus.

📣Important Announcement!📣 Long-time IAC members Steve and Mary Prokopchak and Peter Bunton will be stepping back from the IAC team at the end of 2024. We honor them for the years they have served on this team and the time, energy, and prayer they have sown into DOVE International. We look forward to their continued ministry to the DOVE family as the Lord leads them.

Steve will officially go into part-time retirement in 2025. He and Mary will still focus on training, writing, and overseeing a few DOVE churches. Steve will no longer be on supported staff at DOVE International. They will be available to speak at churches or events and an ongoing resource to the body of Christ as their schedule allows. We bless them in this new season of their lives!

From Steve and Mary: “Thank you for allowing us to walk with so many of you in so many nations over so many years. It has been a joy. We love you, and we love this worldwide family!”

After 20 years serving on the DOVE International Apostolic Council, Peter began to feel over a year ago that his term of service on the Council was coming to an end. He reports that it was a hard decision to make, since he enjoyed helping to plan for the DOVE International director succession and is aware of the exciting future God has for this movement. Peter, however, remains the director of DOVE Mission International serving from the office in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

From Peter: “I am grateful for the opportunity God gave me through the International Apostolic Council to help lead our international movement. While stepping out of this governmental role, I am delighted to continue to work with many of the same incredible people around the world as we explore missions and international partnerships in DOVE. I am also thankful for additional possibilities to help develop a new generation of thinkers and leaders in the broader body of Christ.”

We are so honored to hear from and support missionaries in Germany.
