We SENSE the Lord! This summer, we're using our 5 senses in the Gospel readings. For today's reading, we heard about Touch. Jesus' touch heals! What can you touch this week that reminds you of Jesus' healings? Bring in a memento for our shared big blue board (ex. a receipt, a flower, a bulletin) or write how you sensed God on a post-it note and tape it on. We want to cover the board all summer with how we sense the Lord!

In life, we all must climb the first mountain of life. This is the mountain of the self, where we establish ourselves professionally, socially and financially.

Today's Gospel from Matthew warns us though, to avoid assuming the first mountain is THE mountain of life.

Jesus teaches us about a second mountain, a mountain that is about helping others, rather than getting ahead. This is the mountain he walked along, this is the mountain he died on and this is the mountain upon which he invites us to live.

Today, we are recognizing Josie Lynch!

Josie is graduating from Warwick High School where she was a member of the Varsity Track and Tennis teams and the Environmental Action Club. Additionally, she helped 9th graders navigate the transition to high school through the Link Crew. Josie was inducted into the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society and served as the President of the English Honor Society.

In the fall, Josie will be attending Penn State University and majoring in Psychology.

During her time at St. Paul, Josie has really connected with the other youth and formed friendships that provided a space to discuss God’s impact on all of their lives.

Congratulations, Josie! We celebrate with you and your family and will continue to pray for you and walk alongside you as you continue to follow our Good Shepherd into this new season!

Today's featured senior is Lyla Brenner!

Lyla is graduating from Warwick High School and has been actively involved in a wide range of academic, extracurricular, and service activities throughout high school. She is a member of the Girls Tennis Team, earning her varsity letter as a sophomore and serving as a team captain her junior & senior year. She has also been deeply involved in competitive dance at Dance Dynamix, where she has participated in 11–13 routines per year and served as a captain for multiple years.

In addition, Lyla has been an active member of Link Crew, Student Council, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society. She is also involved in St. Paul Youth Group where she has participated in meaningful mission trips, including serving in Philadelphia and attending the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, where she helped support communities in need.

Outside of school, she has worked as a hostess at The Log Cabin Restaurant since her freshman year.

After graduation, Lyla plans to attend University of Delaware to pursue a degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She hopes to continue her education in dental school, with a goal of making a positive impact by helping people feel confident in their smiles.

Being a part of St. Paul has strengthened her faith and given her opportunities to serve others, grow as a leader, and learn how to live out her Christian values in everyday life. As she prepares for this next chapter, she is grateful for the support and guidance she has received through her church community.
Congratulations, Lyla! We celebrate with you and your family and will continue to walk alongside you and pray for you as you continue to follow the Good Shepherd as this next chapter begins!

Yesterday was an exciting day as we witnessed and celebrated the rite of Confirmation of some of the youth of our community. This is a significant moment in their lives as they publicly affirmed their baptism and faith in Christ and continue their journey as his disciples. Congratulations Ryder and Jadon!
