As you view our site, we hope you see and feel our heart and vision to serve people in our community. Founded in 1848 in a small log school house in the growing community of Lithonia. The First Baptist Church of Lithonia was the first Baptist church in the town. For the next 116 years, FBC of Lithonia was an integral part of the city, however in 1965 the church decided to move its’ location to one

that was better suited for the growing congregation. It also worked well for the City of Lithonia who would purchase the land and develop Main Street as we know it today. And so we continue to worship at our new location, a seven acre property adjacent to I-20. We continue to play an important role in our community, maintaining an outreach service and a food pantry for those less fortunate. All in an effort to show others the love that God has for us all.
