Fairfield Baptist Church

Fairfield Baptist Church Our Church was founded in 1885, by the Carol, Daniel, Durden and Mapp families. Rev. A.D. Freeman was given the awesome task to become the first pastor. A.C. C.L.
(252)

The land in which the church was first erected was so fair, they decided to name the church, Fairfield. During the one hundred and thirty-seven years of existence in the Redan and Lithonia area as a place of worship, praise and service to God, six other men were called to shepherd this church family: Rev. Collins, Rev. Zack Brown, Rev. Nall, Rev. Micheal Benton, Rev. Melvin Brooks and Pastor Eric

George Vickers, Sr. All strong men of God, proclaiming Jesus as Lord. The church membership has grown over the years. Many have come from all over to make Fairfield their place of fellowship. To accommodate the growth, additional land was purchased and larger facilities were built. Fairfield stands as a beaconing light in the community. Its lights illuminating the love of Christ, as the church sitting on the hill, that cannot be hidden.

Join us for a live replay of “Guarded, Governed, and Grateful,” a powerful message from Dr. Eric George Vickers, Sr. based on Ezra 8:31.

As Ezra and the people of God journeyed forward, they trusted the hand of God to guard them, govern their path, and guide them safely to their destination. This message reminds us that when we trust God’s leadership and protection, gratitude becomes the natural response of our faith.

Tune in and be encouraged to recognize God’s hand at work in your life and to walk forward with confidence, trust, and thanksgiving.

Invite someone to watch with you and experience this timely word together.

Join us for a live replay of “God Brought Us,” a powerful message from Dr. Eric George Vickers, Sr. based on Ezra 8:21–23.

This message reminds us that the same God who has brought us through every past challenge is still guiding our steps today. As Ezra called the people to seek God through fasting and prayer, we are encouraged to trust His hand over our lives rather than relying on our own strength or security.

Be reminded that you didn’t make it this far on your own—God brought you. And the God who brought you this far will continue to lead you forward.

Tune in, reflect, and share this word with someone who needs encouragement today.

What if God is tired of words and wants actions instead? He's not impressed by scripture quotes, but by how much of it we live. It's time to put feet to our faith.

Sunday at Fairfield was one of those moments that stays with you.

Our NXTGEN Youth Choir lifted their voices with joy and bold faith, reminding us that the next generation is already leading the way. Our Praise Team guided us into a powerful time of worship as the Fairfield family gathered together with one heart and one spirit.

We also reached a meaningful moment in our “On A Mission” series as we concluded our journey through the book of Ezra—a reminder that when God calls His people to rebuild, restore, and move forward, He also provides the strength to finish the work.

If you missed the service or want to experience it again, the full worship experience is available now on our website, YouTube channel, and page.

Now we’d love to hear from you:
What stood out to you from yesterday’s service that will carry you through this week?

Lip service isn't enough. True contrition and change require your actions to back up your words. If you claim to follow God, what you do must align with what you say. The message is simple: Prove it.

Palm Sunday reminds us of the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem and the people lifted their voices in celebration. The road ahead would lead to the cross, but the story was already moving toward resurrection.

Join us Sunday, March 29, 9:30 AM as we begin this sacred journey together in worship, reflection, and expectation for what God will do during Holy Week.

What a powerful morning of brotherhood and fellowship at our Men’s Ministry Breakfast this past Saturday, March 7. Men gathered, broke bread, and encouraged one another as we strengthened our faith together. We were honored to welcome brothers from Restored Life Church and Crossroads Presbyterian Church who joined us for this special time of fellowship. Moments like these remind us that there is strength when men come together.

This text clarifies God's stance against intermarriage for His people. It's not about racial purity, but about covenant allegiance. They worship one true God, who delivered them from Egypt and gave them a land, signifying their unique bond.
