Monday Manna:
Study the Fruit, Not the Form
Scripture:
Psalm 37:37 (KJV)
“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.”
Reflection:
This scripture invites us to slow down and really observe a life, not just a moment. “Mark” means to study, to pay attention, to watch how someone walks with God over time. But the focus is not on their outward expressions, it’s on their integrity, consistency, and relationship with God.
Application: Ask yourself: Am I growing in relationship with God, or just repeating what I’ve seen?
Prayer:
Father, teach me how to discern what is real. Help me not to be distracted by outward expressions, but to recognize the fruit of a life that truly walks with You. Grow me in integrity, consistency, and truth. Where I have imitated without understanding, bring me into deeper relationship with You. Let my life not be a performance, but a reflection of Your work within me. And in the end, let my portion be Your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In a world where it’s easy to copy what we see, how someone prays, how they worship, how they move, God is calling us deeper. He’s not asking us to imitate the form of a person, but to understand the fruit of their life.
There’s nothing wrong with learning by observation. In fact, it’s part of growth. But we must be careful not to confuse appearance with authenticity. True righteousness is not performed, it is developed in private and revealed over time.
The promise in this scripture is powerful: when you live upright before God, your ending will be peace. Not perfection, not applause, but peace. A settled life. A grounded spirit. A soul anchored in Him.
