What happens when you die?

Not what you hope happens.
Not what sounds nice at a funeral.
What actually happens.

Last week we talked about heaven, and how most of what we think we know about it came from pop culture and dead philosophers, not the Bible.

This week we're going somewhere more personal.

Here's what I've noticed: most people collapse the whole story into two acts. You live here. Then you die and go to your forever home (good or bad).

But Scripture gives us four acts. And the difference between two acts and four is the difference between a small hope and an enormous one.

We're going to talk about what happens the moment you die. Where you actually go. What state you're in. Whether you're conscious. Whether you're you.

We're going to talk about resurrection - what it actually is, what your body will actually be like, and why the fish Jesus ate on the beach after he rose from the dead matters more than you think.

And we're going to talk about the people you've lost.

If you've buried someone - a parent, a spouse, a child, a friend - I want you in the room this Sunday. Not because I have easy answers. Because I have real ones.

This month has FIVE Sundays… and you know what that means! 🙌🥪

It’s time for us to come together, make sandwiches, and head downtown to bless those experiencing homelessness with a meal, much-needed essentials, fellowship, and prayer. ❤️

This month, we’re collecting the following items:

✨ Toiletries (soap, body wipes, lotion, sunscreen, razors, women’s hygiene products)
✨ Hats
✨ New socks (all sizes for men & women)
✨ New underwear (all sizes for men & women)

You’ll find donation bins in the lobby where you can drop off any items you’d like to contribute.

And if you’d like to serve with us in person, we’d love to have you join us THIS Sunday! Simply arrive back at The Chapel at 1PM. We’ll prepare sandwiches together before caravanning downtown (parking is limited).

This is always such a meaningful time for adults, teens, and kids to serve side-by-side while showing the love of Jesus in a tangible way. 💛
