I was very disappointed with the results four years ago. You know what I did? I got up the next day, put on my clothes, and went to work. I didn’t sit at home and cry and fall apart. You know what i did this morning (even though I was up until 4am)? I got up, put on my clothes, and went to work.

I’m very happy with the outcome of this election, and I do believe a window of time is opening for the church, and for us as individuals and families to make an impact for our futures. But, my hope was never in Washington, and it won’t be now.
Jesus has kept me in the worst inflation I have experienced in my adult life, just like He did during a global pandemic, and I know He will keep us now as we see the economy shift more in our favor. The answer is the same…it always has been, and always will be, Jesus Christ!

Today’s excerpt from Psalms comes from chapter 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, Oh God, and renew a right spirit within me.

This prayer is one we should be praying continually. This is more than asking forgiveness for sins…this is asking Him to cleanse our motives, change our mindsets, and embracing a life that goes beyond sin management, and begins to model His nature and heart to the world around us.

Let’s take a minute today and pray this verse over our own lives. Lord, give me a clean heart, and a right spirit. Let everything I do bring glory and honor to your great name! Help my life to become an example of how good you really are. Thank You for not leaving me like you found me. Thank You for the blood you shed that cleanses me from all of my unrighteousness.

I have had the word cleave in my heart all day today. I have never studied it specifically, but as I was reading verses tonight regarding it, this one jumped out at me:
Romans 12:9
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Abhor (detest utterly) that which is evil; cleave (glue or stick) to that which is good.

Cleave in Greek means to glue, stick, or to keep company with
This verse admonishes us to love genuinely, abhor evil, and glue ourselves to what is good. None of these are passive actions, and they aren’t automatic. They each require deliberate thought and action. I have to decide to distance myself from evil things, thoughts, conversations, habits, etc. I have to then glue myself, keep company with, stick to the things that are good, and not good by our standards, but good by the Lord’s standards.

I’m going to dive more into this word, cleave, and I’ll share more soon.

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Today’s excerpt from Psalms. The Lord is near us when our hearts are broken. Many of us have experienced the crushing feeling of a broken heart. In those moments, we have a Savior who is near.
He saves those with a contrite (crushed) spirit. Many afflictions come, but we never face them alone. Take comfort in that truth today! God is with you! He sees your broken heart. He sees how things have tried to crush your spirit. He is here as your comfort, and He is here as your deliverer.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Today’s excerpt is from Psalm 18:28. I have been preaching and sharing a lot lately about the light shining in the darkness, and the answer to darkness has always been light. This verse jumped out at me as I am going back through Psalms again.

“For thou wilt light my candle: The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.18.28.KJV

The Lord will light my candle. He will enlighten my darkness. He provides the light…I provide the candle. I give Him something to ignite, and He does the rest. I don’t have to manufacture the light. I don’t have to create the light. I simply have to position myself to but, offer it to Him as a living sacrifice, and He provides the light. That light illuminates His glory, and the world takes note of it. But, in a more personal way, there are times it feels like we don’t know which way to go (I’m in a season like that now), and we don’t know our next step. It feels like we are in darkness to His will. I believe this verse encourages us that in these places, He will enlighten us and show us the way to go.

For thou wilt light my candle: The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Today’s excerpt from Psalms is found in Psalms 133. The chapter starts with a popular verse that being with, “Behold (stop and really look at), how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” He then compares it to the oil that was poured on the head of Aaron, the high priest, that flowed down his beard, and ultimately to the hem of his garment.
Something powerful happens when the people of God dwell together (live lives together) in unity. The oil flowed from his head to his feet, and the only way that can happen is if the body was connected and there was no obstruction. In Acts 2, we find the disciples in one mind, in one accord, in one place, and the Holy Spirit (the anointing) was poured out.

In a world where it is easy to focus on the things that could easily divide us, let’s strive for unity, and protect it when we find it, no matte what. We need the anointing. We need the power. It comes when we unite together, with Jesus as the head, and us as the body. I pray He makes us one, even as He and the Father are one.

As I was listening to the Word of God this morning on my drive into work, this verse jumped out to me. I preached a message years ago on being a valiant people.
Valiant means possessing or showing courage or determination.

In the hour we live in, we are in desperate need of valiant people. We need people that respond to the pressures, and the spiritual battles being waged around us, not with fear and intimidation, but with courage and determination.
This isn’t always predicated on feeling, but is established in knowing who we are fighting for, what we are fighting for, and who is fighting with us and for us.
I pray for you today, and for myself as well, that we would be a valiant people.

Psalms 108:13
With God we shall do valiantly;
it is he who will tread down our foes.

In Genesis 32, it is the story of Jacob wrestling with the Lord. Jacob had an encounter with this angel of the Lord, or maybe even Jesus (don’t know for sure). He wrestled Him until he was blessed by Him. It’s a cool story, check it out when you can.
The angel touched his leg and dislocated his hip, which changed the way Jacob walked the rest of his life. He blessed him by changing his name to Israel (where the nation of Israel started). Jacob meant deceiver, and that’s exactly what Jacob had been in his life. Israel meant prince of God.
The point of this story is to show us that an encounter with God will change the way you walk, and it will change your name. He changes us from who we were to who He has called us to be. We all need that moment of encounter, and it wasn’t his only one. I’m praying that for you today. I’m praying that you encounter the love and power of God in a way that marks your life forever.

Hey everyone! I know I haven’t been posting much lately. I’ve been in a season of prayer and listening. The Lord has had me praying for several different things (some personal, some not). One of the main things I find myself focusing on, outside of my family, is the Church. I find myself praying for the Church to stand up in this evil day, and having done all, to keep standing.
I pray for the Church to be a city on a hill in the midst of a world that has fallen into utter darkness.
I pray for the Church to manifest the love of God for each other, and for the world around us that is in desperate need of the love of God.
I pray for the Church to walk in Holy Spirit power. We need it more than ever.
I pray for the Church to experience the outpouring of the presence of God in our midst, to being refreshing and revival to weary hearts.
I pray for the Church to find her voice in a world full of noise.
I pray for the Church to shake off the bands of apathy and passivity.
I pray for the Church to be encouraged, and strengthened, and for fear, anxiety, and discouragement to be broken off of her.

We need a strong Church in this hour!

Authority in the Kingdom doesn’t come through promotion like it does in the systems of the world. Authority comes through submission. My level of spiritual authority is proportionate to the degree of my submission to God’s authority. Under to be Over

The yoke is destroyed not by programs and smoke machines. It isn’t destroyed by the latest hit song. It isn’t destroyed by charismatic preaching. It isn’t destroyed by another prophecy. The yoke of bo***ge is destroyed by the anointing! You can’t replace that. You can’t perform past that. We need the anointing of the Holy Ghost! He is still able to destroy the yoke and set the prisoner free!

We had our first service last night in Ely, MN at Oasis International Church. I felt a fresh wind of the Spirit that refreshed and encouraged my heart. The wonderful people there were receptive to the word, and I pray it will bear much fruit.
I preached a message for the first time called, Let There Be Light. Excited to spend some time this afternoon with the leaders from both churches and then service tonight at 6.
