The Story of God’s Faithfulness Through the Years
The First Baptist Church of Litchfield began in 1839 with seven people. The church was housed in a wooden structure in the center of town for nearly sixty years. In 1912 a new field-stone church was erected on the same property. After generations of use, the church outgrew that building and began preparation for a building east of town.
Today, First Baptist Church occupies a new facility, but still faithfully proclaims the same gospel message that came from the Lord’s lips 2,000 years ago.
Pastor Brent Stille became our senior pastor in June of 2000. He is a 1990 graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College (now Maranatha Baptist University). In 2004 he graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College with his Masters in Ministry. He faithfully serves First Baptist Church alongside his wife Lisa and his three daughters.
Pastor Eric Hall became our youth pastor in July of 2010 shortly after he finished his degree at Maranatha Baptist University in May that same year. He and his wife Nadine and their three children have been faithfully serving at First Baptist Church of Litchfield ever since.
