I just found this prayer that I wrote 8 years ago. As school starts, I offer this prayer for students & teachers everywhere -- Pastor Judy

God of grace and peace, be with us this school year during times of learning and times of play, frustrating times and rewarding times, too. Help us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Empower us to be kind and helpful and to refrain from bullying and violence. We know there will be disappointments this year and for some there may be tragedies. When we encounter the challenges, dear God, calm us as we make decisions, guide us as we look for helpers, and comfort us with your ever-present spirit. In the way of the Master Teacher, we pray. Amen.
