Honoring all the members of our armed forces who gave what President Abraham Lincoln called "the last full measure of devotion," Memorial Day is one of the most important and solemn days on the National Mall. Across 250 years of American history, starting with those who fell while fighting alongside General George Washington in the Revolutionary War to recent conflicts, we will never forget our heroes. The military memorials on the National Mall are stunning tributes to hundreds of thousands of people who laid down their lives for freedom. Today we lay wreaths at these special places, but every day, walking past stone walls and metal statues, we recognize the loved and lost and offer the thanks of a grateful nation.

Due to the expected storm and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our congregation, we will be canceling in-person worship services tomorrow. This decision was made prayerfully, with care for one another at the forefront.

Scripture reminds us:

“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”
— Proverbs 22:3

We encourage you to remain safe, check on neighbors as you are able, and take this time to rest and seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture at home. Though we may be apart physically, we remain united in Christ.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need prayer or assistance.

May God be our shelter and strength. Grace and peace to you.

🌾 Nanticoke Christian Church Supports the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Whitney Point 🌾

This week, our Nanticoke Christian Church family came together to support the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Whitney Point with a special food donation!

We’re so thankful for everyone in our congregation who contributed so generously — your kindness will bless many local families in need. ❤️

Yesterday, several of our members delivered the donations to the pantry (pictured L to R): Anita Ellis, Ralph Taylor, Dawn Ballard, Bill Kisner, and Royice Harford.

We may be a small church, but we are mighty in spirit — all praise to the Lord for guiding our hands and hearts to serve others! 🙌
