Currently we are at a campground in Yamassee, South Carolina. It is located just north of the Georgia border. We went out today onto I95. There are a lot of utility repair teams heading south toward Florida on the road. Traffic northbound out of Georgia is steady with lots of trucks and other folks getting away from the coming storm.
We are expecting Tropical Storm rain on Friday here in South Carolina. Almost changed my reservations last week to relocate to Florida for this week. I am so glad I didn’t.

On August 1st, the Mission Council of Streams of Life hosted a congregational meeting to discuss our life together as a community, now that the Carr's have retired from leadership. The consensus of those attending was, while we remain committed to one another in our personal lives and in fellowship, our corporate life will necessarily change. Accordingly, Sunday August 8th at 10:30am will be our final formal gathering. The Rev. Marc Boutan will be our celebrant priest.

We are committed to the spiritual lives of those who have been involved with Streams of Life both in person and on-line. Anyone who wants to be in a small group or have on-line support during this time of discernment please contact Marie Stewart. She will then have a member of the discernment group contact you.

We hope to see you Sunday as we worship with each other cerebrating our 10 years together.

We would like to ask anyone who attended today’s service to check if they picked up an extra set of keys. Joe’s keys were on the back counter and are now missing. If anyone finds them, please let Joe know. Thank you!

Wrong date: Sunday July 25th

07/23/2021

Join us this Sunday July 25th at Streams of Life for our 10:30a service either in person in the sanctuary or online on Facebook Live.

This will be the last Sunday that I will be with you. As you know I will be retiring both as the Rector of Streams of Life as well as my secular job at LL Bean. We have a buyer for our house and we will be setting out shortly on our new adventure of living full-time on the road and exploring the country in our truck and RV trailer.

It has been a real blessing to serve you all as your pastor over these past 10-years. Celeste and I have been blessed in so many ways with the time that we have had with all of you. It is my intention that we will have some sharing time with each other during our morning service.

I look forward to being with you all either in person or on-line on Sunday morning.

See you on Sunday morning!
Joe

Tomorrow, June 6th at 10:30 a, we will gather at the church for our Annual Meeting. We will not be holding a worship service on that morning, nor broadcasting on Facebook Live. This is our first Annual Meeting in two years. Many things did not happen over the past 16 months of the Covid Pandemic, including meetings of our Mission Council.

I want to encourage you to attend this meeting as we discern and plot our way forward as we begin to move out from under the Covid Pandemic. Please pray about serving on our Mission Council and or serving as delegates to our Annual Diocesan Synod.

If you are unable to attend, yet would like to serve on the Mission Council or as a delegate to Synod please let me know and I will bring your name into the meeting.

See you at 10:30 in the morning.

Joe
