Lipan Annual Homecoming Sunday, June 3rd at 10:45 am Lipan Tabernacle
Many of you may be asking what this annual celebration is all about.
Simple---Honor!
We take this time each year to honor those of our families whose earthly bodies were laid to rest at the Evergreen and Baptist Cemeteries. Many of us have several generations of our families buried at one or both cemeteries. Others may have a few or only one member there, but we still want to honor them by ensuring their final earthly resting places are maintained.
Both cemeteries are managed by committees who voluntarily serve honor their families. Care of these cemeteries is costly and is paid for by contributions and internment fees.
Contributions are accepted year-round but annually we gather to enjoy renewing friendships and visit the cemeteries and to take contributions.
