Good morning.
This morning. Please allow me to ask three questions. Question number one, how fast will a car run? The answer to this is simple, it depends on how much fuel you allow to go into the carburetor. The same is true with our spiritual live. How much fuel are we allowing to flow into our soul, to strengthen us and to encourage us? The source of the fuel is not a gas station, it's time alone with God. We also strengthen our souls by being at God's house when the church doors are open and participating and being not just at church but actually being part of the church. When we read our scripture, our souls are fed when we pray, fuel pours from Heaven. But don't ever allow yourself to run out of fuel.
Question 2. Are your children walking as close to God as they need to be? While we can't live their lives for them, the answer to this question lies with how close we as parents choose to walk with God. We can say to our children what they should do, but what they are going to do is what they see laid out in front of them. So they need to see us pray, they need to see us being kind and godly and they need to see us seeking the face of God on a daily basis. It isn't a guarantee that your children will make Heaven, but it definitely will help.
The last question also involves our children. Now that school has opened for the year, do we feel that the education that they are getting in school is all that they need? I do not believe that it is. God's name is not mentioned and prayer is not allowed. However, they can be taught about changing their gender or receive birth control from the school. So the answer to this is simple, take your children to Sunday school. Then they'll know the difference between God's way and the world. That's very important if we want to spend eternity in Heaven with them.
So please take much thought of these questions, answer them honestly, and then live so that our souls and our children will be encouraged.
May the Lord bless you. Jim
