St. Anthony Catholic Church

St. Anthony Catholic Church Weekend masses: Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Our beautiful church was built in 1911 and dedicated to the patronage of Saint Anthony of Padua.

Weekend masses at St. Anthony are at 4 pm Saturday and 10:30 am Sunday morning. Weekend mass at St. Paul in Hazelton is at 8:30 am Sunday and mass at St. Katherine in Braddock is 7 pm Saturday evenings. Maintaining Our Legacy: The Catholic churches of Emmons County have a proud heritage. Every generation has had the obligation of continuing the legacy of that Catholic heritage, which includes cari

ng for our buildings, especially when the facilities show the wear and tear from years of well-use. Our newly formed Buildings and Grounds Committee has met to review and assess the needs of the facilities of St. Anthony. The needs were prioritized per their urgency before more damage occurs. The committee then acquired bids from various companies. Of course, now the question is how do we pay for the required repairs? A fundraising initiative will be conducted. We hope the participation level will provide for the projects requiring our attention. I assure our good people, there is no exaggeration in our goal. We are striving to fix what needs to be fixed. Below is a list of the projects identified by our committee. The four phases are as follows:

• Phase One: Structural issues and updating the lower level of the church building; foundation, wall repair, lighting and electrical, kitchen updating and repair
• Phase Two: Tuck pointing the St. Anthony Parish Center building
• Phase Three: Update the St. Anthony Parish Rectory bathrooms, rectory siding deterioration, rectory garage replacement
• Phase Four: Parking lot resurfacing
An estimated total cost for all phases is $485,000. Please pray for a successful response in this time of great need. Give online today! https://www.osvonlinegiving.com/1877/DirectDonate/53719

The 69th Annual God's Share Appeal will be conducted in our parishes on May 2-3. Did you know that not only does your donation support our priests, seminarians and deacons, but also ALL of the programs and services provided by the various diocese offices. One of those important offices is the Office of Catechesis and Youth which provides valuable training and information to all of the parishes’ Religious Education programs. This office also coordinates the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd training for the parishes and Catholic schools using this special Religious Education program; Search weekend; Steubenville Youth Conferences; Young Adult Ministry; and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) wanting to enter the Catholic Church.
