“Come close to God and He will come close to you.” -James 4:8-

We live in a world full of temptation and tribulations. The weight of life is unbearable at times. We struggle to take our next step, to make the right decision. We are imperfect human being who fail to live up to God’s perfect, holy standard for our lives. When life comes at us and smacks us in the face, which it so often does we need a savior. We need a shepherd, a Father, a friend. We need someone to help us and strengthen us. We were not created to go through this life all alone. And if we are being completely honest with ourselves, who of us wants to be alone, especially through times of trial. God has so graciously given us this promise that if we come close to Him, He WILL come close to us. Let this sink in, GOD WANTS TO BE CLOSE TO US! I’m not going to sit hear and say I know what you are going through right now, but I’m sure it is difficult and overwhelming. Today I encourage you to draw near to the God who desires to draw near to you! Let Him be your refuge and strength, you comfort and peace. Let Him come close to you and be your very present helper in your greatest time of need! God loves you, and He wants to help, hold , heal, and care for you in every aspect of your life. Will you come close to Him today? He certainly wants you to and He is absolutely waiting for you to take that step of faith towards His gracious and loving presence. Be blessed and never forget God is with you and He is for you!
