Calling all GCUnder40 General Body Members: It’s time to vote! The first ballot for our Steering Committee election is now open and will stay open for a week. Check out the nominations packet in your email to learn about the candidates, and use this link or QR code to access the ballot. The ballot will also ask you some questions to make sure you’re eligible to vote and update our membership records. Happy voting!

The Young Adult Caucus of the Episcopal Church has grown to over 200 members! 🎉 That’s right, there are a whole lot of young adults who care about church governance (and a good bit of older folk who actively support our work). Who are these mysterious church nerds? Keep swiping to see some fun facts about us!

We are so incredibly thankful for every one of you and what you bring to the caucus, and can’t wait to see what this group continues to do at the next General Convention and beyond.

Nomination forms close in a few days (2/28), and Eva (and the rest of the elections committee) want you to submit one! GCUnder40 members who are currently Deputies or Alternates AND have already served a term as Deputy at a previous GC are eligible to run for a position on Steering Committee. Most of the current Steering Committee will be rotating off after this election, so the new SC is guaranteed to be mostly new faces! Check your email and/or Discord for the link to the form, and reach out to an elections committee member if you have any questions.

Young Adults participated in the Joint Interim Bodies meeting this week as appointed members of the five Standing Commissions, the Taskforce on AI and Intellectual Property, and the United Methodist Episcopal Committee. These groups will continue their work over the next three years, preparing their final Blue Book reports in advance of the 82nd General Convention in Phoenix, AZ.
