Please contact your child's teacher if they didn't bring home their shopping form and/or you aren't sure which day they are scheduled to shop. Orders will be sent home on Friday December 13.

Attention Elementary School Parents!

We're so excited that our elementary school students will once again be participating in a Penguin Patch Holiday Shop to spread Christmas cheer!

Penguin Patch Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open from December 9th to 13th, your child should be bringing home an informational flyer and budget envelope early next week.

Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.25 to $16. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones! Cash and Checks (made out to Knights PTO) will be accepted, sorry no credit card sales are available. A percentage of the sales will benefit the Knights PTO.

We are in need of several volunteers to help the students shop and fill orders the week of December 9, we have a.m. (9-12) and p.m. (1-3) time slots available each day. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jen Troutman ([email protected] or 717-475-0812).

Good Afternoon! This is just a reminder that wreath and poinsettia orders and money are due this Tuesday, November 26 to the HCS office. Delivery will be on Tuesday, December 3 from 2:30-4 in the HCS parking lot.

Happy Saturday! We are having a Wreath and Poinsettia Fundraiser this month. This year we are excited to be using Stauffers of Kissel Hill as our vendor which allows us to offer two types of wreaths and five varieties of poinsettia colors at a reasonable price. Orders and money are due November 26 with delivery expected for December 3. Thank you in advance for your support!

Hello HCS!

As you know, our annual RACE is coming up this Tuesday. We are still in need of several volunteers, especially those to help time the races. The link is below to sign up. Thank you in advance!

Volunteers must have current clearances on file with HCS.

Please help the HCS PTO provide treats for our students and staff during RACE on Tuesday, October 22nd. Entire School RACE events are happening after lunch. Thank you! Raindate is October 23rd If you would like to donate money for supplies, checks can be made payable to Knights PTO.

Hello HCS Families!

In preparation for RACE 2024 in October, the PTO is seeking the use of a sno-cone machine. We will provide the syrups and cups and the manpower to make the sno-cones. The kids love treats while running their relay races this day, and sno-cones are always a hit!

Also, the people we used for our wreath sale in the past have retired, and we are looking for a new company to work with for this fundraiser. If you know of a company that participates in wreath sale fundraising, please let us know, we'd love a friend or family referral.

Welcome back HCS! We are looking forward to several exciting PTO events this school year and look forward to working with many of you along the way. More information on our first event will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

In case you haven't been using the Box Top App, we wanted to encourage you to download it and start it using it soon. The Box Top program is an easy way for our PTO program to earn money, just by grocery shopping. It's come a long way from when we had to cut out labels from boxes and submit them and wait many months for our rewards to come in the mail. Now you just scan your receipt using your phone, and the app will do all of the work.

When you download the app for the first time choose Harrisburg Christian School (2000 Blue Mountain Parkway, Harrisburg PA) as your school. You can also enter a referral code of B9CD9049 which will earn our account bonus box tops once you scan your first receipt. You can do the same thing to your friends and family with your referral code

There are many participating products that help us earn Box Tops. Each Box top is worth 10 cents. Often times there are bonus periods that we can earn more...for example, I bought 5 boxes of cereal this week that were on sale, and there is a promo that if you buy 5 participating products through next week, you will earn $5.00 so our account earned $5.50. I make it a habit to scan all of my grocery receipts (must do within 14 days) because I don't keep a mental track of the participating products, so this bonus was a surprise to me. Also, it doesn't matter where you shop for groceries, online, in store, Walmart, Giant, etc...it's about the participating products, not stores. There is the option to choose where you want to credit your funds, we aren't there yet, but could use that for a contest between grades, upper/lower schools, etc. in the future.

Hello, HCS Community –

As we come to the close of the 2023-2024 school year, we have one more way to celebrate and thank our teachers and staff. Knights PTO will be providing lunch on Monday, May 6th from the Potato Coop, candy on Wednesday, May 7th, and gift cards and homemade bread on Thursday, May 9th. The Knights PTO would like to update you on a few events we have planned over the next few weeks and are seeking your support and help in making these events happen.

Wreath Sale

The Knights PTO will once again be holding a Christmas wreath sale as a way to support our annual activities.
The cost of each wreath is $50. Easels are also available for $4.50 each.
Order forms and an informational letter have been handed out to students this week with order forms and money due into the front office by Friday November 3. If you need additional time for sales, please send your preliminary order count of wreaths and easels to Jen Troutman at [email protected] by Friday November 3, and send in all final orders and money by Wednesday November 8th to the front office.

Our tentative delivery date is Tuesday November 21 from 2:30-4 in the HCS parking lot, but this will be confirmed closer to the delivery date. Attached to this email is an order form and the information letter that should be coming home with your student.

Teacher Conference Meals

Knights PTO will be providing dinner for your teachers during parent teacher conferences on Thursday, November 9th and we still have several slots open for donation. Please sign up at the link below if you are able and we are also collecting gift cards for Christmas.
