Many of us are not familiar with Jewish wedding customs in the Bible. Because of this, the wedding imagery and wording all throughout the Bible gets lost. And what is this about JESUS being the bridegroom and the Church being the Bride anyway?
That is what Pastor Bruce will be talking about on Sunday, July 19. His message title is "Remembering the One We Wait For."
We will celebrate the LORD'S Supper since it ties in so beautifully with the message and because Pastor Bruce and Keli will be gone on August 2. Tom Hudson from FBC McPherson will be filling the pulpit on July 26 and August 2.

Pastor Bruce's message on Sunday July 5th is "Blessing the Land We Live In. " We will be recognizing America's 250th Anniversary in song, message, and prayer. While also remembering we are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven and our allegiance is first to our King, Savior, and Lord JESUS. Tomorrow, May 24, is Pentecost Sunday. We are running a week or so behind and will be focusing more on JESUS' Ascension. The LORD doesn't seem to be in a hurry this year. Perhaps He has truths about Pentecost to teach us and wants us to take our time this year. Pastor Bruce's message is "The Hidden Christ-the King Revealed." It will lead us into the season of Pentecost and likely a series of messages on the background behind it and why it's important today.

Have you ever felt like the LORD took you back to a particular time in your life when you had encountered Him in a powerful way? That there was something He needed to remind you of? This happened with Peter in John 21, and really, all of the post Resurrection encounters we've talked about were about that. It would seem that before JESUS ascended and the Holy Spirit was sent, there was some unfinished business to take care of.
Please join us at 10:30 Sunday morning as Pastor Bruce gives the message "The Hidden Christ: Taking Us Back to the Beginning." It's going to be a good day to remember when JESUS revealed Himself to us, and continues to even now! 🌄

Pastor Bruce's message on Sunday, May 3 is "The Hidden Christ: When Our Eyes Need to be Opened to the Truth of His Word."
We will be looking at the story of the two on the road to Emmaus and their encounter with the resurrected JESUS. It was life changing as our encounters with the Hidden CHRIST usually is.

We have four Sundays before Pentecost. Pastor Bruce will continue to focus on the Resurrection and JESUS' interactions with His disciples. This Sunday's message is "The Hidden Christ: Leaving the Past Behind" as we look at Mary Magdalene's encounter with JESUS in John 20.
