The Amen Speaks | Laodicea Part 1

Why did Ellen White say the message to Laodicea will cause the shaking among God's people? In this first message of our Laodicea series, we begin a verse-by-verse journey through Revelation 3:14-22, examining the counsel of the True Witness and why it produces such strong reactions.

We'll explore the historical background of Laodicea, the meaning of being lukewarm, Christ's evaluation of our works, and the solemn warning that many who profess the truth may be deceived about their true spiritual condition.

Join us as we discover why this message is so vital for God's last-day people and how receiving it can lead to genuine repentance, revival, and preparation for Christ's soon return.

Today, we’re diving into one of the most sobering stories in Scripture: Esau selling his birthright. Was Esau more than just a careless brother? Could his spirit reflect the compromise happening among God’s last-day people today?

We’ll explore the danger of slowly despising sacred things, trading eternal realities for temporary comfort, and the difference between Esau and Jacob—between those who walk away from the blessing and those who cling to God despite failure.

📖 Featuring powerful Bible study, prophetic applications, true stories, and practical heart-searching appeals from Genesis, Hebrews, Luke 12, and more.

Our prayers are daily ascending to God for strength and divine wisdom that I may move in the order of God, walk in the clear light and make no false steps. I find that there is nothing like coming close to persons and seeking to help them by individual effort. It is not always an easy, pleasant task, but this seems to be my work which I cannot get rid of." —Letters and Manuscripts — Volume 6 (1889-1890), Lt 70, 1889, par. 8

Talk not of our trials, brood not over our privations, but remember Jesus the Son of God. Study His life of self-denial, self-sacrifice, His life of privation, and how much abuse He endured for our sakes on the cruel cross, and then let us never exalt ourselves or think we have a trying time, but let us be thankful. God does not want us to be in gloom, but walk in the light as He is in the light.Jesus lives; —Letters and Manuscripts — Volume 4 (1883 - 1886), Lt 7A, 1886, par. 9

Connection with Christ, then, involves connection with His church. The church is organized for service, and in a life of service to Christ, connection with the church is one of the first steps. Loyalty to Christ demands the faithful performance of church duties.— True Education, p. 167.6

this morning's study is not just about prophecy—it’s about where Protestantism is heading RIGHT NOW. In this powerful Bible study, we’ll trace the path from the Reformation to Revelation 13, uncovering how Scripture warned that the very movement raised up to protest Rome would ultimately return to her principles. Daniel 3 and Daniel 6 reveal the blueprint for the final crisis: enforced false worship, banned true worship, and pressure placed upon conscience.

We’ll examine the growing union of religion and politics, the prophetic significance of the image to the beast, the final test over worship and obedience, and why Revelation says God’s people must “come out of Babylon.” If you’ve ever wondered where society is heading, why the world is becoming increasingly religious and political at the same time, or how current events connect to Bible prophecy, you do NOT want to miss this study.

Join us this morning as we expose The Climax of Protestant Apostasy.

The Benefits of the Sabbath

"The Sabbath is a sign of God’s kindness to man. It is a public token that those who rightly observe it are God’s people, and that He will do all for them that He has promised. It is God’s memorial of creation. On it He rested and was refreshed. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy, it was given to man. It is enough. Let all say, It is enough. God has spoken, and we will obey His voice. My brother, no longer refuse to wear the sign of God by continuing your usual work on the Sabbath. The Lord has said, “Thou shalt not do any work therein.” [Exodus 20:10.] It is for your present and eternal good to obey God. Do not please satanic agencies by refusing the sign which shows that you are a loyal son of Jehovah. Keep the Sabbath holy unto the Lord, as you have been given commandment. Various gifts and duties are given to men and women that they may exert an influence on the side of Christ, showing their love and respect for Him by keeping holy His Sabbath. Those who do this show that they are loyal to God.

—Letters and Manuscripts, vol. 15 (1900), Lt 80, 1900, par. 8

We need to be much more particular than we are in regard to the Lord’s institution. Bind about the edges of the Sabbath. Let us study the prospect. Let us all allow our workers, if possible, the hours from noon on Friday until the beginning of the Sabbath. Relieve them, that they may prepare to meet the Lord’s day with quietude of mind. Let all the work of preparation, cleansing the body, blacking the boots, be finished early, and the family assemble early to read the Word, to sing and pray before the Sabbath shall begin. You will be no losers temporally. Let us study this, for we have all been remiss. We need to confess to God and to one another, and begin anew to make special arrangements, that every member of the family may be prepared to greet the Sabbath, with every preparation made, to honor the Lord’s day, that He has sanctified and blessed. Let us study this subject. I know that the Lord has been greatly dishonored by those who have claimed to be Sabbathkeepers, but who have not kept the Sabbath in spirit or in precept. Please read carefully the fifty-eighth of Isaiah. — Letters and Manuscripts — Volume 13 (1898), Lt 4, 1898, par. 36
