Winter Storm Fern had major impacts here in Perry County and on us here at Linden Valley. We lost power for 5 days but it is back on, huge thanks to Mike Hickerson and the guys and gals at MLEC. We have a lot of trees down on campus, but were able to cut our way through all the trees blocking our roads. We do have some damage to buildings but we believe nothing major.
North Carolina Disaster Relief is here on campus setting up to start cooking meals to send out to the community. More to come tomorrow on other disaster services that will be available.
