In 1st Peter:
Greeting
1Pe 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
He has addressed you as strangers scattered throughout the land, that you are the elect according to the forknowledge of God, through the blood of christ. May grace and peace be unto you multiplied.
1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
That you are the elect of God, through your forknowledge of him through his father from the foundation of time. He has chosen you through the unlimited space of time to be his people. And that you would be obediant unto him through the blood of christ.
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Blessed be our God and father Jesus Christ, who through his abundant mercy hath begotten us to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He has conqured death for us and given us eternal life with God, our father.
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
To an enheritance, incorruptible and undefiled that will never fade away. Reserved in heaven for us. He has reserved a place for us with him in heaven. Where we will be as unblemished as our saviour as seen through the blood of Christ. God views our sins through the blood of his son, Jesus Christ. When viewed through his blood we are as white as snow.
1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Our faith keeps us within God's power. As we face trials of faith in this world we shall overcome that which of this world will see us fall. Our Love and Faith shall see us through and shall not perisheth but will overcome all that this world offers. Gold and silver shall fade away and be corrupted, but our love and faith shall endure through time.
1Pe 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Even though we may have not seen the Christ in this world; we still believe upon him and love him. Even though we may not see the Christ, yet we still believe upon him and rejoice in his name. We shall recieve joy unspeakable and be filled with glory.
1Pe 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Recieving blessings upon our faith and salfation upon our souls.
1Pe 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
As even the prophets have proclaimed throughout history of the coming of our Lord and Saviour, so shall our faith proclaim; through the diligent search through the scriptures, all that has been coming from ages past.
1Pe 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Fortold throughout the scriptures the suffering of our Christ, for our sins, and the ulitmate glory our our divine saviour.
1Pe 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
Our lives beheld many things, the coming of our saviour, his taking of our every sin, his suffering upon the cross for our sins. God's purpose for all these things was for us to be brought into his light. To be brought unto him; incorruptable, without blemish unto him. Jesus Christ was our bridge to get us from our complete destruction unto our complete salvation. God's works made it possible for us, sinners and corruptable spirits to be clean; without blemish and without any sin. To be viewed by our God as acceptable for glory. But only through Jesus Christ's untainted blood.
This is where I will leave you my fellow Christians and believers. God has guided me thus far and will lead me no further. I pray that these words will comfort you and carry you through your troubled times. As God leads me on I will post my thoughts to you. God bless and keep you always is my prayer.
