When fear is loud, when injustice seems overwhelming, when the forces of hatred, oppression, and division appear to be winning, remember that God is still moving. 🙏🏾

Being still does not mean being silent. It means standing firm in faith while continuing the work of justice, truth, and liberation. As we confront racism, authoritarianism, and policies that dehumanize our immigrant neighbors, we do so knowing that God walks with the oppressed and strengthens those who refuse to give up.

Hold your ground. Keep your faith. Do the work. God is still fighting for freedom. ✊🏾❤️

In Acts 2:1-13, the Holy Spirit empowered ordinary people to speak truth that could be understood by every nation gathered. The miracle wasn’t confusion—it was clarity. It wasn’t deception—it was divine truth.

Today, we live in a world flooded with competing voices. Political spin. Viral misinformation. AI-generated content. Endless streams of opinions disguised as facts. Lies travel faster than ever, making it harder to discern what is true.

Pastor Barry E. Wise, II challenged us to ask a critical question: What is the source of your truth?

The same tongue that can proclaim life can also spread falsehood. In a culture where truth is increasingly manipulated for power, profit, and influence, God’s people must remain anchored in the voice of the Holy Spirit. While the world amplifies confusion, Pentecost reminds us that God’s truth still cuts through the noise.

Before you share it, repost it, repeat it, or believe it—test the source.

Because when the Spirit speaks, truth doesn’t divide, deceive, or distort. It transforms for the greater good.

Today, we honor all veterans, but we give special reverence to the Black men and women who wore this nation’s uniform while carrying the weight of a country that too often denied them the very freedoms they fought to defend.

It takes extraordinary courage to stand for liberty while facing discrimination. It takes dignity to serve with honor in the face of injustice. And it takes unshakable strength to believe in freedom enough to fight for it — not only on foreign battlefields, but here at home as well.

From segregated units to civil rights marches, Black veterans have always been on the frontlines of America’s unfinished promise. Their sacrifice reminds us that patriotism is not silence in the face of oppression — it is the relentless pursuit of a nation that lives up to its ideals.

Because of them, we know freedom is never simply given. It must be defended, demanded, and carried forward at every turn.

Today we remember their sacrifice. We honor their resilience. And we commit ourselves to continue the fight for justice, equality, and freedom for all.
