Camp Barakel Packing List

We will be leaving the church on Friday 31st at 4pm and stopping for dinner at McDonalds around 4.30pm. Remember to bring money for a fast food meal. We also stop at the Jerky outlet/gas station on the way back where the students like to purchase snacks for the ride home.
The bus should arrive back at the church on Sunday at around 4:30pm.( we will contact parents via text if the ETA should change)
There is a small snack and souvenir shop at the camp but students can bring snacks of their own to eat in the cabins.

What to bring
Snow pants and a winter coat, hats , gloves etc.
Snow boots and lots of socks,(old grocery bags are amazing for keeping your feet dry inside your boots!)
Jeans and sweatshirts etc. for chapel and free time.
Sleeping bag & pillow and a twin fitted sheet if you wish.
Toiletries.
Trash bags for wet clothes.
Hand warmers if you wish.
Bible, a notebook and pen.
Phones are permitted for the bus journey only, but we encourage the students to interact with each other and not their phones. If they wish to listen to personal music on the bus, earphones must be used.

Phones are not permitted at camp. If we notice that students are on their phones during the weekend we will confiscate them until we return to church. Please do not text or call your student during this weekend unless it is an emergency in which case we prefer that you contact one of the youth staff. They will tell you all about the fun weekend when they return home.
