God intentionally showed us that not everything is meant to happen all at once. There can be purpose in the order, purpose in the progression, and purpose in the pause.

Day 1 — Light: God separated light from darkness.
Day 2 — Sky and waters: God separated the waters and established the expanse of the sky.
Day 3 — Land and plants: Dry land appeared, and then vegetation began to grow.
Day 4 — Sun, moon, and stars: God established the lights to govern the day and night and mark times and seasons.
Day 5 — Sea creatures and birds: Life filled the waters and the skies.
Day 6 — Land animals and mankind: God created the animals of the land, and then humanity in His image.
Day 7 — Rest: God finished His work and rested.

Creation wasn't random or all at once—it unfolded in an intentional sequence, day by day.

❤️ COME HEAVY. LEAVE LIGHT. ❤️

Do you need a place to lay your burdens down? A place where you can bring your worries, your struggles, and everything weighing on your heart?

At Unity Baptist Church, our desire is to lift up the name of Jesus! Because when we turn our eyes toward Him, we're reminded that our troubles don't have to have the final word. He is our hope in the valley, our light in the darkness, and our strength when we feel we have nothing left to give.

📖 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

But what does it mean to come heavy and leave light?

It doesn't mean every problem will be solved before you walk out the door. It means you can come carrying the weight of the world and leave reminded that you don't have to carry it alone.

You can leave with peace where there was worry, hope where there was discouragement, and renewed strength for the road ahead. You can leave with your eyes lifted from the valley to the One who walks beside you through it.

When we lift up Jesus, He reminds us of His faithfulness, shines His light into our darkest days, and gives us grace for whatever lies ahead.

🙌 Come heavy. Leave light. Leave reminded of who God is and how faithful He will always be.

We invite you and your family to join us at Unity Baptist Church of Linden, NC!

Come as you are. Bring your burdens. Let's worship the Lord together, grow in His Word, and encourage one another in faith.

❤️ You don't have to have it all together to come to church. You just have to come. We'd love to see you!

When Jesus said, “Follow Me,” He didn't put an expiration date on it. He didn't say, “Follow Me until this time,” or “Follow Me when it's convenient.” He simply said, “Follow Me.”

Period. ❤️

Following Jesus isn't just a one-time decision. It's a daily walk. Every morning, before we get caught up in the noise of the world, we ought to ask ourselves:

“Jesus, where are You leading me today? I know You're with me, but how can I follow You more closely? How can I represent You today? How can I shine Your light? How can I worship our Father, serve my community, and show others the love You've shown me?”

How can I make Your name known? How can I help somebody else come to know my sweet friend, Jesus?

Because following Him isn't just about knowing where He's going. It's about being willing to go wherever He leads.

It's about letting His light shine through us, loving people the way He loves them, and pointing others back to Him—not bringing glory to ourselves, but lifting up the name of Jesus.

So, before you ask what today has in store for you, ask Jesus how you can serve Him today.

He said, “Follow Me.”

And that's still the call. Today, tomorrow, and every day after that. ❤️✝️
