This is what a DTC does~🔥

Our Fall class is a little over six weeks in. The classroom is full and the worship room is active. In a few days, they board a plane for El Salvador—where they’ll take everything they’ve been learning on this Ranch and take it to a world that needs it.

For forty-five years, we have watched the same pattern play out on this ground.

Students come in with questions. They leave hearing His voice.

Students come in uncertain of their calling. They leave with a clarity they couldn’t have manufactured on their own.

Students come in afraid of what God might ask of them. They leave willing to go anywhere He sends.

Students come in with a faith they inherited. They leave with a faith that is their own.

This is the whole mission of Twin Oaks Ranch. To help people know God, hear His voice, and answer the call He has placed on their life—then equip them to carry it to the ends of the earth.

The pattern has not changed. It’s working again, right now, in this class.

The next DTC is coming. And there is a seat with your name on it.

This is a holy ground moment. 🔥

What you’re watching is not a performance. It is what happens when a Ranch that has been set apart for forty-five years opens its doors and says come press in.

Last Encounter, we watched God move.

We watched people walk in carrying weight and walk out lighter. We watched strangers become family in two hours. We watched worship keep going long after the last song ended — because when His presence shows up, nobody wants to be the one to stop.

This is not hype. This is not a show. This is the overflow of a place that has spent four and a half decades teaching people to know God and make Him known.

The next Encounter is coming.

He’s not hiding from you.

Sometimes we treat hearing God like it’s something reserved for the people who have been following Him longer, pray better, know more Scripture, or somehow have this whole thing figured out.

The funny thing is, Jesus didn’t say, “The spiritually impressive hear My voice.”
He said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27

Maybe God isn’t as distant as you’ve convinced yourself He is.
Maybe the invitation isn’t to try harder to get His attention, but to become quiet enough to recognize the voice that’s already been calling out to you.

He’s not hiding! Ask Him something and give Him room to answer.

Scarcity has a way of making you feel like, “There’s not enough for me.”

Someone else gets the opportunity.
Someone else gets noticed.
Someone else seems further ahead.

And before long, their blessing starts to feel like evidence that you’ve been overlooked.
But that’s not how God works…

Zeal trusts that the God who made oceans isn’t rationing nor is He partial. What He’s doing in someone else’s life doesn’t mean there’s less available for yours.

You don’t have to protect your place, compare your portion, or shrink back because someone else is flourishing.

You can celebrate what God is doing around you and still believe He has purpose for you too.

Stop guarding a cup that was always meant to overflow.

Scarcity asks, “What if there isn’t enough for me?”
Zeal asks, “God, what are You inviting me into?”

Maybe the next step isn’t waiting until you feel like you have enough.
Maybe it’s trusting Him enough to move.

Here’s what to expect: an evening of worship and encountering God from 6:00 to 8:00. Come early at 5:00 for fellowship.

This land was a gift. Almost literally.

Before it trained missionaries, Twin Oaks Ranch belonged to David Wilkerson — the man behind The Cross and the Switchblade, who gave his life to reaching kids everyone else had written off.

In 1980, he told the founders of this base he believed the land wasn’t his anymore. That God wanted it to go to Youth With A Mission. He sold it for a fraction of its worth — ten cents on the dollar.

For 45 years, that gift has been sending young people to the ends of the earth.

Some seeds you plant, you never see grow. He planted anyway.

You were adopted a long time ago. Don’t live like an orphan!

An orphan feels as though they must work to earn a place at the table, but a son or daughter don’t think twice as they know they already have a seat.

One lives striving to prove they belong while the other lives from the security of knowing they already do.

Live confident in the truth that you don’t have to work to earn what God has already given you.
