LCHS FCA and Cross Country team members, Lucy Matthews and Lucas Aycock, recently competed in a 5K. Afterward, the runners enjoyed breakfast and heard guest speaker Samuel Garringer, a Clemson University graduate and former member of both Clemson’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.

What an incredible week at National Fine Arts and National Youth Convention! The teaching was powerful, the worship was life-changing, and our students represented our ministry with excellence in every way.

Thank you, Jen Verdery, for all your help, guidance, and encouragement of our Fine Arts students. Your dedication, along with the countless hours invested by all the amazing volunteers, has made such a lasting impact.

We are so proud of all they accomplished, earning 16 Superior ratings, the highest recognition possible and truly a testament to their hard work, dedication, and God-given talents.

We were also blessed to have five students place in the Top 10 nationally: Ty placed 3rd and Cynthia placed 4th in Junior First Person Essay, Elaina placed 4th in Senior Book Chapter, Adler placed 8th in Kappa Tau Poetry, and Ezra placed 4th in Junior Male Vocal Solo.

We celebrate each of these students and are grateful for an unforgettable week of growth, worship, and achievement!

On Sunday, May 17th during our 11:00 AM service, we will be recognizing and honoring our 2026 High School and College Graduates!

This is a special time for our church family to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of these students as they step into a new season of life. We are so proud of each graduate and excited to cheer them on for all God has ahead for them!
