My littlest is in first grade, and you should see how excited she is knowing she’s going to get to be the line leader. ❤️
Remember that feeling?
Being the one in front.
Leading the way.
Everybody else following behind you.
Funny how we grow up…and still want the job.
How many times do we do the same thing with God? 🤔
We step out front.
Choose the direction.
Make the plans.
Decide how we think everything should go…
Then ask God to come along and bless it.
We say, “God, lead me.”
Until He leads somewhere we didn’t want to go.
Until His answer is no.
Until His timing is slower than ours.
Until obedience costs us something.
That’s when surrender gets real. 🔥
Because eventually we have to decide which one we love more:
His will or ours.
My pastor said something Sunday that stuck with me:
“Don’t fall so in love with your own will that you forget to let God lead.”
Yikes. 🔥
Sometimes faith looks a lot like giving up your spot at the front of the line.
You were never meant to lead God.
You were meant to follow Him. ❤️
And my Tuesday advice, for whatever it’s worth...
Find yourself a church that isn’t afraid to preach the truth. 🙌
📖 If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24
