Those of you that truly know me, know that I have a huge heart and a sincere desire to help others in any way possible. This has been on my heart for weeks and I need your help.

A family dear to me is in need. They are private people and wish to stay anonymous but have agreed to let us help them. This family has ties to both Lincoln and Wilkes counties, so I hope that both of our small towns will show up and show out for them like I know is possible. I have faith that we can help this family and ease their burdens.

It may seem odd for some to give without knowing the who, so I would like to say, if you have a true giver's heart, the who should never matter. It's the act of giving that means the most, not the recipient or notoriety. And this family NEEDS our help! Trust me.

I can share, that one parent has been out of work for a month and a half now with no return date in sight. It is very likely that they may not be able to return due to severe health issues. They do not have any type of income coming in from their job. 5+ weeks without pay. Can you imagine in today's economy? The other parent is working and trying to keep things afloat the best they can. They have two children in school. That's about all I can share while respecting their wishes.

My goal is to raise $6,000 for them to help with the time already missed and the continued time out of work. It would be amazing to get even more. I know we can make this happen and help ease their financial burdens. In the end, no matter the result, every dollar will make a difference.

I will personally collect any and all funds donated and distribute them to the family as received. I can accept cash, check, Cash App $AmandaRobb8, Venmo , apple pay, or FB pay. Every penny received will go to this family and I will be glad to post updates.

Life can change in an instant. I will forever be grateful for every person that has helped my family along the way. And I will do everything I can to repay those good deeds, as long as I'm able.

I respectfully ask that you do not message me and inquire about who this family is or any other personal information. I will ignore the questions out of respect for this family's privacy. It took a lot for me to get them to agree to this and I refuse to break my word to them.

We have reached 200 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉

I’m not sure I can put into words how much this donation means to me. Ms. Nancy Coughlan, a complete stranger to me, contacted me a few days ago via messenger telling me her son, Brandon, had around 50 stuffed animals he wanted to donate. They were led to me by my SIL who is also Brandon’s Beta Club sponsor at Thomson High School. Turns out he’d been looking for an organization to donate them all to for quite a while. And boy am I glad she told him about me and Philip!!!🙌🏼

After it was all said and done, I met them this morning, and picked up ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE stuffed animals! 1️⃣2️⃣9️⃣‼️

How insane is that?!?😱

I’m willing to bet no other single donor will beat this amazing contribution. And I’m 100% okay with that! I’m so thankful we crossed paths and for everything that was set into motion to make this possible.

We continue to be blessed beyond measure.

Thank you again Nancy & Brandon Coughlan.🩵

Good Morning!

Last night Philip was in my dream. It might sound normal to you guys and I wish that were the case. I rarely see him in my dreams. I could probably count on my fingers the amount of times it’s happened in the past 7 years.

Well, in a good way. After the accident, it’s all I could see in my head whether my eyes were open or closed, for over a year. That was horrific.

Philip wasn’t a big talker. He was our little man of few words. Sadly, I only have his sweet voice in a few videos because of this. And that absolutely kills me. So, last night in my dream we were able to go back in time and I purposely talked to him and asked him lots of questions so I could record his previous little voice to play over and over again. I know it isn’t real and it’s something that will never happen but man it made me smile. I’ve missed him so much and as silly as that little dream is, it’s everything to me right now. I woke up happy because of it and I’m thankful for that.

Has anyone else lost someone special and you rarely see them in your dreams like me? I’m curious how often this occurs and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

For those of you who do not follow my personal page, I’m sharing this post here, about our daughter Izzie. She’s in 6th grade, she keeps us super busy and she’s literally what keeps me going each day. She misses her little brother something fierce.🩵

Brag post -

I am so incredibly proud of our Izzie.

If you know her, you know she works hard at everything she does. She’s a competitor through and through.

Our girl has maintained a 93+ avg in all of her classes for several years now. (Probably since 2nd grade)

She was invited to join Jr BETA last week since she has maintained a 95 average this school year. When I tell you this girl has been waiting for this invitation since school started, I MEAN IT! She asked a million times, worried she wouldn’t make it…for literally, no reason. Bless her heart, she is serious about her grades.💌📃

Not only is our girl a ROCKSTAR in the classroom, she’s also a beast on the field. Any field she steps foot on. She’s a true athlete and I love it!!!

Izzie tried out for the middle school soccer team on Monday & Tuesday this week and she made the team! We are so happy for her. It’s like Christmas back to back for this kid. Jr. BETA and now soccer.⚽️

I’m incredibly proud to be her mother and I’m so incredibly blessed to have her as my daughter. God knew what he was doing when he gave us

7 years ago today, our lives were shattered. We faced the unimaginable tragedy of losing our 2 year old son, Philip.

7 years later I find myself being able to face this day stronger than I ever have before. I may lose it at some point today and that’s okay. In this moment, I am strong. Grief knows no boundaries. It doesn’t give warnings, it doesn’t care who you are, where you are or what you are.

Today is a date that I dread every year. It’s a physical reminder of the day, hour, and exact moments of our loss. Sometimes the events of that horrible day play on repeat in my mind. It’s excruciating. Needless to say, January 29th is my least favorite day of the year.

I’m choosing to celebrate Philip today instead of grieving him. I also chose to do the stuffed animal drive during this time period on purpose. It’s a beacon of light and hope for me during an otherwise dreary time.

Thank you for following this page. Thank you for caring about our boy. Thank you for loving and praying for our family. And Thank You for spreading the love and honoring his memory by donating to my drive.

I have lost. I have grieved. And through it all, I am continually blessed beyond measure.💙

My day was made earlier when I received a text from Benji Lewis letting me know some of his students donated to the stuffed animal drive. I cannot thank him and Daisy enough for promoting my drive in Statesboro. It really means the world to me. We are extremely fortunate to have so many amazing people in our lives.

Thank you Daisy & Benji Lewis for heading up my cause in the Boro! And Thank You Statesboro STEAM Academy students for donating in Philip’s memory.💙

I received this email today from KidsAndCars.org and I’m grateful that this law has finally been accepted and passed to help prevent the death of children & adults from back-over accidents. This organization has been fighting for backup cameras to be installed in ALL new cars for years and years. FINALLY their voices have been heard and their hard work will pay off. This is a HUGE victory for and our family , along with hundreds of other families whose lives have been impacted by back-over tragedies. 👼🏼

Rearview cameras FINALLY become standard on ALL new vehicles
KidsAndCars.org and family advocates celebrate major victory in making vehicles safer.

Kansas City, KS – April 30, 2018… After more than 15 years of extraordinary efforts by KidsAndCars.org and other advocacy groups, a long-overdue auto safety standard will be in full effect on May 1, 2018. This standard helps to improve passenger vehicles' rear visibility and prevent deaths from drivers backing into children and adults they cannot see. For over 100 years, vehicles were manufactured without any regulation on what the driver should be able to see behind them when backing.

“This measure will save countless lives, especially of children," stated Janette Fennell, founder and president of KidsAndCars.org, whose organization led the effort. "It is the first federal regulation for rear visibility in our nation's history. It doesn’t matter where on earth a vehicle is manufactured, all passenger vehicles sold or leased in the U.S. will now be equipped with a rearview camera as standard equipment,” she explained.

In 2008 Congress enacted the Cameron Gulbransen Kids Transportation Safety Act. The law was named after Cameron Gulbransen who died in 2002 at age 2 after his father, a pediatrician, accidentally backed over him in the driveway because he was unable to see the toddler in the blindzone behind his vehicle.

Each year an average of 226 individuals are killed and over 12,000 injured in backover crashes, reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Drivers using all three mirrors still cannot see anything in a blindzone 10-50 feet long directly behind their vehicles. Over half of those killed in backover accidents are children under 5 or adults 70 or older, NHTSA's analysis shows.

KidsAndCars.org is celebrating this achievement by giving away three rearview camera systems this week. Those who “like” the organization’s page at (https://www.facebook.com/KidsAndCars.org/) will automatically be entered to win.

Bill Nelson, another parent who lost his son, said, "Our family is thrilled that the rule has finally been issued – not just for those of us who worked so hard in memory of our children, but also for families whose children’s lives will be saved by this safety standard.” The Nelson family lost their son Alec after he was backed over because his grandfather could not see him in the large blindzone behind his SUV.

Dr. Greg Gulbransen added, "It's been a long fight, but we're thrilled this day has finally come. It's a bittersweet day, because this rule should have been in place many years ago. Though his own life was short, my son Cameron inspired a regulation that will save the lives of countless others."
