I waited until we had the total amount raised at the Cool Event this year. Now we have it! Drum roll please! The grand total is $2500. A check is being delivered thus week to Christian Ministry to benefit the soup kitchen. Thank you to all who participated by donating bowls, ice cream, and especially those who joined us to select a bowl and eat ice cream. It was a fun day!

Salem Lutheran and UCC will celebrate Homecoming this Sunday (August 17th) at 10:30 A.M. Susan Harris, Synod Authorized Minister, will be the guest speaker. Covered dish lunch will follow the service. Please join us as we observe 229 years at Salem.

Salem Lutheran and UCC Church will be holding Homecoming on August 20 at 10:30 celebrating our 227th anniversary. The Reverend Dr. Robert Allen will be the guest minister for the day. Deacon Margaret Howell will present special music for the service.

And in true tradition, there will be a covered dish lunch after the service. All are invited and especially our past members, family members, friends who came to Bible School, came to the many community events, ice cream socials, all our friends over the years.......in other words......everyone's invited!

UPDATE: The Blessings of the Animals at Salem Lutheran Church will be rescheduled due to the predicted weather this weekend.
