There is a place for you in Philoptochos! We welcome you to participate as much—or as little—as your season of life allows. Perhaps you can get away one evening to attend a Chapter meeting. Or serve on a committee for our Bake Sale or Glendi. You might prefer to decorate lambades in the comfort of your own home or lend your talents quietly behind the scenes. Every contribution is meaningful, and every woman is valued. Just as a hive flourishes through the unique contributions of many, our Philoptochos chapter is strengthened when women bring their individual gifts, interests, and availability. Our Ministry Mania fair is an annual event and exciting opportunity to learn more about the vibrant Youth and Adult ministries that are at the heart of Ascension’s parish life! This year, Ministry Mania takes place on Sunday, September 13th when all Ascension ministries will be present at tables around our Anagnos Fellowship Hall to showcase the exciting plans scheduled in the upcoming 2026-27 Ecclesiastic year and take on-site registrations. NOTE: For Youth Ministries - please register by Labor Day and attend Ministry Mania to get a firsthand look at what’s in store for the new year!

Registration is open on our parish website for Ascension's many vibrant youth & young adult ministries, including HOPE, Faith/JOY, Jr. GOYA, GOYA, YAL, and Acolytes. All of these ministries begin after Labor Day. Sunday Church School for Pre-K - 8th grade begins September ​13th and our teachers are excited to have your children back and look forward to a truly special learning environment! New this coming year: our SCS program is excited to use the just-released comprehensive curriculum developed by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America! Designed to cultivate the faith of children and youth from Preschool through High School, this curriculum was developed in collaboration with clergy, educators, and curriculum specialists and offers a fresh, engaging approach to faith formation.
