Hope For The Soul Ministries is a faith-based organization, focused on providing trauma-informed and trauma-capable care.
Hope For The Soul Ministries is dedicated to the awareness, prevention and abolition of s*xual violence of any kind, as well as advocating for and empowering survivors with the HOPE and healing of Jesus Christ.
It is the mission of Hope For The Soul Ministries to minister HOPE and healing to lost and hurting souls, preach the Gospel to all creation, and lead people to a saving relationship in and through Christ Jesus.
HISTORY:
Chantel Plautz is the Founder & President of Hope For The Soul Ministries. This ministry was created in 2017 out of her dedication to and deep-seated burden for women and children victimized by human s*x trafficking, s*xual assault and child s*xual abuse.
As an Abolitionist Missionary, Chantel works alongside other abolitionists in the fight to end modern-day slavery (human trafficking). As a lay Christian Counselor, Chantel ministers to, counsels with, and mentors women and children who have been victimized by human s*x trafficking, s*xual assault, child s*xual abuse and domestic violence. Through her advocacy work, Chantel endeavors to educate the public on the atrocities of s*xual violence, as well as to empower fellow survivors to find the HOPE and healing they need for their souls, in and through a saving relationship with Christ Jesus. Chantel is a trained Stephen Minister and Stephen Ministry Leader, she holds a certificate in Christian (Biblical) Counseling from Light University Online, and she is a trained Forensic Experiential Trauma Interviewer. She is also a member of American Association of Christian Counselors and Women Speakers Association.
Chantel has been serving the Lord in ministry since September 2002. Initially, from 2002 to 2013, she volunteered through her former church in Wichita, KS and in the surrounding community. In May 2012, Chantel answered a call from the Lord to close out her apartment home, sell nearly everything she owned, and embark on a full-time ministry and missions service journey, wherein she would follow the model of the original disciples in the Bible and live "missionally" — without a home base, without a car, and with no service on her cell phone. At the Lord's direction, Chantel began to serve in full-time ministry and missions in June 2012. Since that time, she has been traveling and serving the Lord on the mission field in Kansas (Wichita and surrounding areas), Missouri (Kansas City and surrounding areas + the northeastern portion of Kansas) and Nebraska (Lincoln and surrounding areas + Oxford and surrounding areas). In 2018, the mission field expanded to include Tennessee (Nashville and surrounding areas) and various countries throughout Asia.
Chantel is a compassionate, dynamic and inspiring survivor of multiple-instance s*xual assault and child s*xual abuse, which took place over the course of a more than 20-year period of her life — she is an overcomer in Christ and a missionary of HOPE!
Chantel was born in Denver, CO, and she grew up in Nebraska, Oklahoma and Kansas. When she is not mentoring, counseling, ministering, speaking, preaching, teaching, writing or training, Chantel enjoys reading, going on nature hikes, making jewelry, watching football, spending time with her family and friends, and celebrating and supporting her four amazing godchildren—Jocelyn, Jaeden, Lucas and Riley.
