Community (John 15-17, Eph. 4:11-16) - Being one “new household” in Christ and inviting others to participate in this “oneness” so that they can experience and live God’s better Story within the active community of the people of God (ekklesia)

Maturity (Mark 8:34-38, Colossians 1:24-29, 1 John 1:5-10) - The ongoing work of being shaped into who God says I am in His better Story; the image of Christ. This includes acknowledging my own brokenness before God (confession of sin), the active pursuit of living in alignment with God’s Better Story alongside others (holiness),and saying “yes” to the privilege of participation in the serving life of this community of Jesus followers. Generosity (John 3:16-17, Col. 1:11-23, Gal. 6:1-10, 2 Cor. 9) - Living a life of generosity means reflecting God’s overwhelming, awe-inspiring welcome, given to us in the person and work of Jesus, to others.

December 4th is The Bloomington Bison hockey team's faith and family night. They are offering tickets at $18.00 each (normally $49.00) if we get 20 or more people signed up! There will be a sign up on the mission table by the sanctuary. This would be a great night of fellowship, friends and hockey!!

God’s Word has a way of meeting us right where we are. Sometimes one verse stays with us through a difficult season, gives us hope, brings us comfort, or reminds us who God is.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” — Matthew 19:14

During the benediction today, my granddaughter came to me, and this Scripture immediately came to mind.

In Matthew 19:13–15, people were bringing their children to Jesus so that He could place His hands on them and pray for them. The disciples tried to stop them, but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.”

There was something beautiful about having her come to me in that moment of blessing. It reminded me that Jesus welcomes the children. He sees them, loves them, and blesses them.

May we always be a church that makes room for the little children to come to Jesus. ❤️
