Thank you to these brave legislators for speaking out for their constituents in favor of gun control. The racist majority of the Tennessee Legislature is punishing their voters by expelling them from their seats. The third legislator, a white woman, was retained. She came out and called the Legislature' activity for what it is -- racist. Pray that their eyes and hearts be opened.

Wishing everyone a very blessed Christmas. It is a reminder to us all that miracles happen every day. We need to open ourselves to their power and learn to see them when they happen around us. The Tunkas watch over us, Wakan Tanka protects us, Tunkasila gives us strength, and Jesus, whose miracle of birth in the midst of a hostile occupation of Indigenous lands, gives us hope for our future now.
Let us take Jesus's miracle of love and survival against all odds as the sign in our lives that we, too, can walk the Red Road with courage just as He did.
Know we walk in the light of His love and to Him we will return. Though we cannot be together to celebrate Jesus' birth this year, his spirit connects us and helps us share in that miracle each time we lift our hearts in prayer. In Jesus' holy name we pray. Amen. Mitakuye Oyasin.
