Sunday, May 31 ~ Trinity Sunday
"Let us shape a space that weaves together all three through our lives . . ."
“Dance, then, wherever you may be.” On Trinity Sunday, we were reminded through our Worship that we are, indeed, to dance where ever we may be. Our choir filled our sanctuary with that message through the anthem, “Lord of the Dance”.
Co’Relous demonstrated to our youngsters that while we cannot see things, like the wind, we know of their presence through what they do. Like God and our faith. A magic dance.
It could be seen that our ‘dancing’ may begin with just the ‘mere specter of God’. While no matter how long our faith journeys, parts of the Divine will always remain unknown to us. We must keep searching . . . searching . . . even though God is forever near . . . we need to search. First, by crawling toward the specter, then beginning to toddle, learning that each time we fall, we just have to get up again. Then by walking, being led by the hand, from the Garden, into the street to do the work of Love. Then by running with urgency . . . time's a wasting.
From God as a specter to seeing the Face of God in our neighbors . . . of those we love . . . in including our own.
Let’s dance, neighbor, shall we?
