At Greater Lincoln Christian Academy, our mission is to educate and empower young men and women to serve as ambassadors for Christ.

GLCA is a nonprofit private Christian school serving grades K4-9th, located in Lincoln, ME, providing an intense academic education while focusing on Christ-centered spiritual growth. We strive to guide them in embodying the values of Christ through their words, actions, and intentions, ultimately becoming a source of hope and light in times of challenge.

Mr. James Pettingale | 7th, 8th & 9th Grade 📚🦁

Today we’re introducing Mr. James Pettingale, who teaches our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students!

Mr. Pettingale is one of those people who quietly goes above and beyond in so many ways, often doing the things behind the scenes that no one ever sees. He’s always willing to step in, lend a hand, and do whatever is needed for our students and our school.

He also brings plenty of humor and silliness into the classroom! His fun and unique teaching style has a way of keeping students engaged and making those lessons stick long after class is over.

We’re so grateful for everything Mr. Pettingale brings to GLCA! 💙🤍🦁

The 5th and 6th grade years are filled with so much growth, independence, curiosity, and new challenges. We’re so thankful to have Ms. Alyvia walking alongside our students during this exciting stage, encouraging them, challenging them, and helping them grow both in and out of the classroom.

We’re looking forward to a year full of learning, laughter, growth, and plenty of memories in her classroom! We are so blessed to have Ms. Alyvia as part of our GLCA family! 🤍💙🦁

Mrs. Arnold brings such a warm, caring, and encouraging presence to GLCA. Her patience, kindness, and genuine heart shine through in all she does, and she has a special way of making her students feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.

Next up is Mrs. Roberta Jipson, the smiling face behind our littlest learners! 🥰

Mrs. Jipson has been part of GLCA since the very beginning, and we are incredibly thankful for the many years of love, dedication, and care she has poured into our school and our students. 📚✏️

She plays such an important role in those precious first school years, helping our K4 and K5 students learn, grow, gain confidence, and discover a love for school and for Christ! We are so blessed to have Mrs. Jipson as part of our GLCA family!

Today we’re excited to introduce Ms. Abby Strohmeyer, our Vice Principal,1st & 2nd Grade Teacher, and music teacher! 🎉

Ms. Abby also wears many hats at GLCA! In addition to helping lead staff as Vice Principal, she pours into our 1st and 2nd graders each day and also lends her talents to our music classes! 🎶 Did you know she’s also a dance teacher outside of GLCA. 💃

We are so thankful for the love, energy, knowledge, and dedication Ms. Abby brings to our classrooms and our entire school community. She truly is such a special part of the GLCA family! 💙🤍

We’re kicking things off with the one who helps lead it all, Mrs. Jennifer Harvey, our Principal and Music Director!

From leading our school to filling it with music, Mrs. Harvey wears many hats, and we are so thankful for the heart, dedication, and leadership she brings to GLCA each day. 🦁✝️

We are officially coming down to the wire as we prepare for another exciting year at Greater Lincoln Christian Academy! ❤️

As we get our classrooms and school spaces ready, we still have some needs and wants on our list. If you feel called to help GLCA, we would be incredibly grateful if you would consider donating one of these items—or contributing toward the purchase of something on our list.

If you are interested in donating an item, please let us know by Friday, August 28! This will give us enough time to purchase anything that is still needed and get everything assembled and ready before school begins.

🔬WELCOME TO GLCA, MRS. REBECCA OAKES! 🎨

Please join us in giving a warm GLCA welcome to Mrs. Rebecca Oakes, who will be joining our team as our Science Teacher, Art Teacher, and Floater! 🦁📚

Mrs. Oakes brings lots of teaching experience and a passion for helping children learn through creativity, exploration, and hands-on experiences. We are so excited to have her bringing science to life in our 3-6th grade classrooms through STEM activities, experiments, discovery, and plenty of opportunities for our students to ask questions and explore how the world around them works! 🔬🧪

She will also be sharing her creativity through hands-on art projects, encouraging our students to think outside the box, express themselves, and discover the joy of creating. 🎨✨

As our floater, Mrs. Oakes will also be ready to jump in wherever she is needed, helping support our teachers and students throughout the school.

We are so thankful to have someone with her experience, creativity, and willingness to jump in and serve wherever needed joining our GLCA family!

We can’t wait to see the experiments, creations, discoveries, and learning adventures she has in store for our students this year! ❤️

🌟 WELCOME TO GLCA, MISS ALYVIA! 🌟

Please join us in giving a warm GLCA welcome to Miss Alyvia Jipson, our new 5th/6th Grade Homeroom Teacher! 🦁📚

We are especially excited to welcome Alyvia back to GLCA as an alumna of our school! She is also the granddaughter of the one and only Mrs. Jipson, making her connection to GLCA extra special. ❤️

Alyvia is young, motivated, and excited to make this school year a special one for our students. She is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve at GLCA and is looking forward to working with our students, families, and staff.

In addition to serving as our 5th/6th grade homeroom teacher, Miss Alyvia will also be helping teach music! 🎶

We are so excited to have her joining our GLCA family and know she will be a wonderful addition to our school. We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for her and our students this year!
