Northern Lighthouse

Northern Lighthouse At the Northern Lighthouse, we strive to be a place of acceptance and direction. We eat a meal together as a whole church at 10:45 am.

Our gatherings are neither flashy nor boring; we simply seek to fulfill our vision. That vision is: being a place where everyone is accepted for who they are regardless of their past, and where everyone finds direction for their lives from the Gospel. Our services are held on Sunday mornings at 9:15am (with women from cccl) and 11:15am (with men from cccl). There are small groups offered either after brunch or after the second service. We hope you will come join us sometime!!

You know in Whom you have believed: the all-powerful God, the Creator of the universe, the Lord of Hosts, the Good Shepherd, the Alpha and Omega...also known as the Lord God, the One Who is, Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty. (see Revelation 1:8)

So be persuaded as well that you’re in His hand and that in Him, all things work together for your good!

There is no middle territory between standing in grace and standing in condemnation. If we are not justified—if we are not declared righteous on the strength of Christ—we are condemned. Jesus states it plainly for us: “Whoever believes in [me] is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:18). There is no middle ground on which to stand.

But there is no need to seek to stand in any middle ground. For a sinner who turns in repentance and faith in Jesus, their present reality is transformed into a living hope; God moves them from death to life. He plants them in the soil of His grace, where He nourishes them with steadfast hope. They are rooted firmly under the endless smile of His mercy. What greater prosperity could there possibly be?

Truly my soul waiteth upon God; from Him cometh my salvation. First, we wait on God for salvation. Then we learn that salvation is only to bring us to God and teach us to wait on Him. Then we find what is better still, that waiting on God is itself the highest salvation. It is the ascribing to Him the glory of being All; it is the experiencing that He is All to us. May God teach us the blessedness of waiting on Him. My soul wait thou only upon God!

God is on the move, and He is faithful. Be of courage and take heart as you wait for Him in your struggle. Hold to the grace He gives each day and be thankful. Savor small victories, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. Our God is a good God, and He will bring about what is best for your life, and bring you into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Himself so you may know Him and keep holding out hope for His goodness.

JESUS CAME THE FIRST TIME to save the world. We read in Revelation of the vision John was given about what will happen when He comes back.

God is not done here on earth. He is still bringing many people to Himself, as He has done in every generation since He left—and at the right time, He will return.

Jesus says in John’s vision, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave” (Revelation 1:17-18). What powerful words of hope for us if we believe in Him as our Lord and Savior. He is the soon and coming King!

In the United States, many people regard Thanksgiving as just another paid day off. Unfortunately, the original purpose of this celebration has been forgotten by many. It was meant to be a day when the nation unites to express gratitude to God, our heavenly Father, for the blessings He has bestowed upon our nation and in our personal lives. As families come together today, my prayer is that they will take a moment to give thanks to God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May your Thanksgiving day be filled with blessings and joy!

God himself is the ultimate generous giver. He embodies generosity. He gave us life, breath, and everything we have, including his own Son for our salvation. When we are generous, we mirror his character and share in the joy of giving.

Generosity is a way for us to participate in God’s work. It’s a chance to make a difference in the lives of others and to experience a deeper level of purpose in life. When we give, we are partnering with God to bring hope and love to a world in need. Ultimately, we are pleasing our Savior when we show him that his decision to entrust us with much was worth it!
